WEEK3 of QC summer program: Alex taught aero dynamics and students simulated flight and earned their 'pilot license'. Students learned circuitry and put together their own electricity generators!!
Vibe coding was a hit and students were creative in bringing a game to life with their ideas!
The youth leaders met to brainstorm the next exciting chapter for Quincy Coders! Young entrepreneurs at work! Stay tuned!

Quincy Coders summer-week 2.
Last week we had fun making jeopardy games. Making a cranking gear that generates electricity, learned snap circuits, and build a solar car. We learned about the importance and science of composting from Mr. Swanson. Albert took us back in time with computer history.

Wednesday Check in: Week1 of Quincy Coders summer program. We 3D designed our ID cards, coded robotics for battle bot (round 1 winner: Kayla- to be continued).
We were lucky to have mild weather and went out for lunch break before the air quality was bad.
Samantha taught on web development and making own websites.
Mini Coders had a microbit and Scratch tutorial. Tinkercad was the mini's favorite.
Minis made catapult and learned about basic laws of physics. Emma made one that propelled the highest and furthest.
Thankful for Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center - BCNC use of facility so we can run our program!

We had our last class in our 8 week course to 'Lead from within'. Youth learned practical lessons to help them understand their own values and lead themselves before leading others. They gained confidence in tackling everyday struggle of peer pressure that can help them rise up from challenges. Thank you to Coach Sharon Loan Tran on a great leadership session and offering a platform for youth to share their experiences and learn from each other through stories.
We hope we continue to have positive thoughts and actions that not fill our cups but can spill over to others.
As always we can't do it without the wonderful resource like Panethnic Pourovers.

So many cultures in the wonderful City of Quincy was shared today. Thankful for the thoughtfulness of each family representing their country. Their kids were so proud to share their culture. We need more of this! Great job and thank you! See you next year!
