Officer Katie Hatch recently received a lifesaving citation for her efforts in May of 2022. While on patrol, Officer Hatch noticed a man in the doorway of the American Legion building in the 100 block of North 8th. Officer Hatch got out with the individual, who was in and out of consciousness and had labored breathing. She suspected the man was overdosing and administered Naloxone. After multiple doses, the man regained consciousness and was transported to Blessing Hospital for treatment.
Had it not been for Officer Hatch's intervention, this man may not have survived. Thank you, Officer Hatch, for your amazing work!

Congratulations to Officer Kyle Hatch for being recognized by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists for his exceptional DUI enforcement.
Hundreds of people are killed and thousands injured as a result of DUI drivers every year in Illinois. Intoxicated motorists choose their weapons - vehicles and alcohol or drugs.
Officer Hatch’s committment to roadway safety is commendable and this recognition is well deserved.
