Congratulations to one of our kindergarten teachers, Taigen Felker, on completing the foundational training from the Institute for Multisensory Education (IMSE). She has finished 30 hours of training in one version of the Orton-Gillingham approach to literacy. O.G. teaches a person to read and spell using a structured, sequential phonics approach tapping into the power of using visual, auditory, and tactile activities for learning.

Taigen joins nine other teachers at St. Francis Solanus School trained to use the IMSE Orton-Gillingham Plus system. One additional teacher is nearly complete with this training.

There is a new fundraiser to benefit all four Catholic elementary schools in Quincy, Illinois this October!

It's related to one of the area's most popular fall activities: DEER HUNTING!

It will be at the Adams County Fairgrounds starting at 4:30pm.
