All aboard the Treat Trolley!🚂🍪🩵

Ms. Kreps & Ms. Patton had an idea to bring a little extra joy to their fellow Denman staff members, and they made it happen! Once or twice a month, they give up their own planning periods to roll their trolleys throughout the building delivering treats, smiles, and a pick-me-up for the Denman staff!✨

This sweet initiative is funded by the Denman Elementary School PTO and is just an example of the amazing things happening throughout our schools!📝

For decades, George and Maureen have been deeply connected to Quincy Public Schools as alumni, parents, volunteers, Foundation supporters and advocates for public education.

Their involvement has taken many forms over the years, but at the heart of it all is a shared belief in the difference strong schools and a supportive community can make for students.

Now, as this year’s Campaign Chairs, they’re encouraging others to find their own way to invest in the students, educators and opportunities that make QPS special.

Our next DREAM BIG Spotlight highlights Assistant Choir Director for QHS & QJHS, Monica Scholz, who is DREAMING BIG for the QJHS students!🎶🎤

Monica works with both our junior high and high school students, helping musicians learn, grow, and find confidence through music.

The QPS Foundation was proud to award Monica a grant that will help enhance the classrooms utilized for music at QJHS, providing resources like organizations cabinets, chairs, and more to create a more functional and welcoming space for students.

This is our why! These students, these teachers, these classrooms, and the opportunities made possible when our community chooses to invest in them.

🌟DREAM BIG GRANT SPOTLIGHT🌟

Our next DREAM BIG grant spotlight brings us to Quincy Junior High School, where Principal Brenda Fleer is focused on strengthening the heart of her school and community!

The QPS Foundation was proud to award Brenda and QJHS a DREAM BIG grant dedicated to building a strong, connected culture for staff, students, and family.📝

This grant will help QJHS create meaningful opportunities to strengthen relationships and celebrate its school community throughout the year. From welcoming and supporting new teachers to enhancing 6th Grade Orientation, family engagement opportunities, and staff appreciation, each part of this grant is centered around bringing people together.

🌟DREAM BIG GRANT SPOTLIGHT!🌟

Our next grant spotlight takes us to Denman Elementary, where music teacher and proud QHS alum Ms. Makayla Briggs is helping her students learn, create, and make music together!🎼🎶

The QPS Foundation was thrilled to award Ms. Briggs a DREAM BIG grant to replace and update the Orff instruments used by her K-5 music students. These new instruments will give more access to quality, hands-on music experiences while allowing them to explore rhythm and melody in meaningful ways!

We especially love seeing QHS Alumni come full circle and DREAM BIG for the next generation of QPS students!
