Register for the New 4-H Year!

The new 4-H year begins on September 1st, and we are excited to welcome youth ages 5-18 (based on their age as of September 1, 2026) to join the Gadsden County 4-H family! This year, our 4-H community clubs will include Livestock, Saddle (Horse), Sew Simple, Cloverbuds (ages 5-7), Let's Bark About It (Dog), The Coop (Chicken), Leadership, Archery, Homeschool, and Junior Master Gardener. Gadsden County 4-H offers a wide variety of exciting opportunities and programs at the local, district, state, and national levels, giving youth the chance to learn new skills, develop leadership abilities, and build lasting friendships. Registration is now open through 4-H Online at https://www.4honline.com/ #/user/sign-in. If you have any questions about the upcoming 4-H year, please contact the UF/IFAS Gadsden County Extension Office at 850-875-7255. We look forward to welcoming you to our Gadsden County 4-H Program!

Bring the whole family to explore Gadsden County 4-H! Meet our Extension team, discover hands-on clubs like archery, gardening, sewing, livestock, and horse, and learn how 4-H helps youth build confidence, leadership, and lifelong skills. This event is FREE and open to all youth and families!

🌾 Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training
📅 Tuesday, September 1, 2026 | 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM CT
📍 UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County – Marianna
Calling all fruit and vegetable growers! This one-day training covers Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirements, worker health, agricultural water, food safety planning, and more. Registration is $40 and includes training materials, lunch, refreshments, and a certificate of completion.

🥕 Fall Backyard Gardening Series
📅 September 22 & 29, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST
Ready to grow your best fall garden? Join us for this two-part series covering garden site selection, soil preparation, fertilization, fall planting techniques, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and hands-on vegetable seed planting. Registration is $12 and includes educational materials, refreshments, seeds, and gardening giveaways.

Whether you’re looking to grow fresh produce, strengthen your farming operation, or help your child discover new passions through 4-H, there’s something for everyone at Extension.
