🎄🌎 Our 4th "Christmas Around the World" is officially in the books and WOW, was it INCREDIBLE! We even got a Winter Wonderland to set the stage - a huge THANK YOU to all who braved the snow and cold to come support our students and staff and their passionate work. We had a great turnout!

❤️ Christmas Around the World is more than just a one day event. It's weeks of planning that give our students the opportunity to plan, research, write, create and then of course on the day of, execute in the form of speaking to guests by presenting information, serving and being good hosts to those that enter their classroom and seeing the fruits of their labor. It has an amazing, multi-skill building function that delivers an experience that is at the heart of classical education at Ulmus Academy.

🎄 We are SOOOO ready for tomorrow's Christmas Around the World 🌎 and for you to see all the amazing things our Ulmus students have researched, made, painted, decorated, you name it, to bring you the holiday traditions of Iceland, Australia, South Africa, Germany, China and Italy!

😁 Don't forget to stop into our Christmas Cafe (cafeteria) to try soups inspired from "Around the World!" We're raising money to put in new vinyl flooring for our cafeteria! Right now, it's carpet and in desperate need of a Christmas Miracle!

🥰Ulmus Academy is seeking a joyful, dedicated Lower Grammar Teacher to join our growing classical education community. We are looking for someone who loves children, delights in learning, and desires to partner with families in the formation of young hearts and minds.

✏️Responsibilities:
-Develop engaging curriculum and instructional activities that meet developmental goals
-Prepare lesson materials, teach daily lessons, grade student work, manage the classroom, and provide timely, constructive feedback
-Maintain open and respectful communication with families, colleagues, supervisors, and staff
-Measure student progress regularly and provide required progress reports
-Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and event records according to licensing guidelines and school policies
-Attend conferences and workshops to support ongoing growth
-Manage student behavior in accordance with school guidelines
-Provide a safe, respectful, and thriving environment for all students

📖Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience/expertise
-Valid teaching credential, certificate, or license for the corresponding grade level
-Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience or other qualifying experience
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Ability to build professional, supportive relationships with students and families
-Experience designing and implementing curriculum
-Physical ability to sit, stoop, bend, push, pull, and move throughout the classroom as needed
-Proven ability to maintain a safe, orderly, and academically focused environment
-Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver age-appropriate curriculum

BOOK BLAST OPENING DAY! With all that was donated from our wonderful friends and family of Ulmus students, EVERY student pre-k through 8th grade was able to amazingly receive AT LEAST 4 books! The students were so excited! Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Book Blast and put stories and adventures into the hands of our students.

🎄Mark those calendars for this year's "Christmas Around the World" OPEN HOUSE at Ulmus Academy! Saturday, December 13th. You can visit us anywhere between 10am and 2pm.

🚫✈️No need for a passport when each classroom has picked a different country to represent so you can travel light and experience the holiday traditions of places far from home! The students are preparing food, games, decorations, interesting facts and a whole lot of cheer for this immersive experience.

🥪🍰We'll have lunch available in the "Ulmus Christmas Café" where you can rest from your happy journey and a Holiday Market in the lobby full of goodies! All proceeds go to supporting our school and continuing to bring to the community the gift of classical education.
