Congratulations to Ms. Judon Streater, Alfred Rush Academy’s Teacher of the Year!

Ms. Streater is in her 7th year with Florence 1 Schools and has dedicated 20 years to education. Her passion for helping students shines through every day, inspired by her parents’ legacy of service, her father, the first African American State Trooper in the P*e Dee region, and her mother, one of the first African American teachers at West Florence High.

She lives by the words of Frederick Douglass: “If there is no struggle, there is no progress,” reminding us all that growth comes from overcoming challenges.

We are proud to celebrate her commitment, perseverance, and impact on our school community. Congratulations, Ms. Streater!
