Congratulations to the Stonewall Jackson High School Indoor Winds on a successful inaugural season, finishing off strong in Chambersburg PA today! Our pirates took home the gold, earning the title of Indoor Winds Scholastic Champions with their highest score yet of 71.8.

These students have worked hard to venture into unique territory of indoor programs — we are SO incredibly proud of their tenacity and growth throughout the season. Go Generals! ♥️🖤🏴‍☠️

Concert Choir had a great day at assessment! They received a II (excellent) for their stage performance, and a I (superior) for their sight reading!

Congratulations to the Marching Generals Indoor Winds on an excellent performance this past weekend at Liganore High School in New Market, Maryland!

Earning 1st place with a score of 63.25, we are incredibly proud of these musicians and can’t wait to see how they continue to learn and grow — 8 of which are on new instruments they began learning in January!

Wish them luck as they travel to Urbana High School tomorrow in Ijamsville, MD to compete in their second competition. It’s safe to say we are HOOKED on Indoor Winds! 🏴‍☠️

Get ready for the 2026 SJHS Coffeehouse!!! The SJHS Musical Theater class will be hosting a night of snacks, drinks, music, and fun on Thursday, January 22nd. There will be desserts, hot chocolate, and decaf coffee served, followed by performances by a variety of our music students. All donations from the night will go to help fund our music events throughout the year.

We hope to see you there!

Congrats to all on a wonderful 2026 All-County Band Event - we had 13 SJHS students participate across the band! Huge congrats goes out to our seniors Haley, Chloe, Ella, Xavier, Brett, and Joey for a kicking last all-county!

The SJHS Orchestra has a busy weekend ahead of them — stop by to hear some classic christmas tunes, enjoy some local coffee, or donate an unused instrument at our events this weekend! Hope to see you there! 🎻

Our second major event of the weekend was Atlantic Coast Championships with the Marching Generals!

Congratulations to the team on an excellent performance in Hershey, Pennsylvania, closing out the season. Earning 11th place with a score of 80.52, the band made history for Stonewall Jackson with its first presence at the Atlantic Coast Championships. ☀️

The band also enjoyed an exciting evening at Hershey Park and explored Hershey Chocolate World the next day. Thank you to the Generals Music Boosters & our generous community sponsors for making this trip possible — your support made this trip accessible for all our marching band students!

Finally, a HUGE congratulations goes out to our senior class, Anaya, Andrew, Apollo, Brett, Brooklyn, Chloe, Ella, Haley, Jade, Joey, Kairi, Labron, and Xavier, for all their contributions to our programs over the years. These kids have become pillars of our band family, taking on leadership roles, exemplifying what it means to be Generals, and dedicating countless hours of their time to the growth and betterment of our band. We wish you so much well in whatever you choose to pursue next! ♥️🖤

The Generals Music Department had a very busy but successful last few days!!

First, we are excited to celebrate a wonderful 2025 All-County Orchestra Event - we had 16 SJHS students participate across all sections of the orchestra. Special shoutout to our seniors Lauren and Ella for rocking their final All-County event, and a HUGE thank you to Dr. Kira Omelchenko from JMU for being awesomeness.

Join the Marching Generals for their final home performance before they head to Hershey Park!

We are celebrating a wonderful marching band season by performing for our invaluable audience — our families, friends, and fans! Feel free to stop by to celebrate all the student’s hard work and wish them luck as they prepare for Atlantic Coast Championships this weekend.
