Beginner and intermediate bagpipe lessons are being offered this fall! Registration closes Aug. 28 for beginner lessons, which start on Sept. 21 at SUNY Adirondack’s Queensbury and Saratoga campuses, and Oct. 7 at Greenwich CSD. Intermediate bagpipe lessons start Nov. 2 at SUNY Adirondack’s Queensbury campus, and registration for the intermediate lessons ends Oct. 9. There will be another Collaborative Cuisine dinner on Friday, Aug. 7! Hosted at Seasoned restaurant in Glens Falls, this event is held in partnership with Speckled Pig Brewing Co. The Handmade Ravioli: Pasta & Filled Pasta Techniques class on July 18 was tons of fun! Participants made their delicious pasta creations from scratch. Reservations are open for the Collaborative Cuisine dinner on Friday, July 31 at Seasoned restaurant in Glens Falls! The meal is offered in collaboration with Adirondack Winery and Extreme Heights Cider, with a great menu prepared by Chef Matt Bolton and SUNY Adirondack Culinary Arts students. Our next Basic Operations for Wastewater Treatment Plants course has been scheduled from Sept. 14 to Nov. 19, 2026! There will also be a Wastewater Treatment: Activated Sludge class in January and February 2027. Congrats to the Cardio & Strength Circuit class, which finished last week on June 25 - this course for all fitness levels meets throughout the fall and spring semesters, letting participants have fun while working different muscle groups!

Last weekend, our Spring 2026 Pickleball: Beginner/Intermediate course wrapped up at Hudson River Park in Queensbury. In this class, students learned about proper scoring, how to serve, how to drop the ball and perform drills. A big thank you to our instructor, Kayla, as well as the participants, who all did a great job!

At the Tree Identification & Basic Tree Care class on May 30, participants learned essential tree identification skills, discussed how to maintain healthy trees and shrubs, and explored a variety of trees at the SUNY Adirondack arboretum. This Continuing Education course was taught by Jeff Speich, former supervising forester at NYSDEC and owner of Baumwerks Consulting. A great class for gardening enthusiasts and aspiring arborists!
