Another great community service field trip with the Freshman Seminar kiddos! Thank you WAIT House!

The Queensbury High School Freshman Seminar class visited the WAIT House for a meaningful and educational experience on April 24. Students received a tour of the facility and learned about the many programs and services the WAIT House provides to support members of the community. ⭐ The students gave back through community service by cleaning out their shared community car, tidying both porches, and wiping down wooden surfaces inside the house.

Some of my QHS Video Production 1 students took part in a collaborative field trip to the WHBI today with Mrs. Murphy’s and Mr. Springer’s 4th grade classes at the WHBI. The 4th graders have been researching weather topics and were ready to share their learning through student-created weather reports. High school students partnered with small groups of 4th graders to storyboard, film, and produce their reports, guiding them through the full video production process. This experience provided meaningful cross-grade collaboration while allowing students at both levels to apply academic content, creativity, and teamwork in an authentic learning environment! Great job teams!

Today we had the honor of welcoming students from Queensbury to WAIT House for a service project, and we are truly grateful for their time, energy, and compassion. 💙

Your hard work and kindness make a real difference in the lives of the young people we serve. Beyond the tasks completed, what means the most is the spirit of community you brought with you is the willingness to give, to care, and to stand alongside those in need. 🤝
