It’s been a busy week and we are only on Wed 😉 but this week hasn’t been about travel, it’s been about supporting our student experiences and their mental health!

I was accepted to a several day training which I have proudly completed and am now a certified Mental Health First Aid Responder 💯✔️.

Owning this study abroad educational travel business is more than just providing support and instruction in comparative criminal justice, it’s also about an all inclusive approach to supporting our students and clients mental health✈️✔️. I also firmly believe in leading by example - never stop learning!

When I am not traveling, I am still teaching and more importantly, learning … every single day. I was honored to be selected to join a three-year training institute which kicked off last week in the Catskills in NY. In addition to a yearly retreat, we meet monthly during the college year to enhance our teaching skillset using PRT - The Pedagogy of Real Talk with Dr. Paul Hernandez. It was great to meet the author of our text and hear about his lifelong work. I’m excited to incorporate PRT in the classroom, online and in my study abroad experiences. Truly a transformational four days

It starts small.

A trip here.
A weekend there.

Then suddenly,

before the current one even ends.

That’s when you know.

You’ve caught it.

Not a phase.

✈️ Expedia's 2026 Air Hacks Report just replaced a travel rule most people still follow.
Tuesday was the standard cheapest day to book flights.

The 2026 data shows Friday is now 3% cheaper than Sunday, which has become the most expensive day to book.

Tuesday still wins for flying domestic, averaging 14% less than Sunday departures.
Friday flips the international script too, up to 8% cheaper than Sunday.

Domestic economy fares bottom out 15 to 30 days before departure.

International fares bottom out 31 to 45 days out.

August is the cheapest month to fly, while July is the busiest and most expensive.

One domestic flight changed price 135 times in a year, which is why price tracking beats timing any weekday.

Life does not wait for perfect feelings.

If you keep waiting until everything feels right, you may keep postponing your life.
Healing does not always come first.

Sometimes you move forward while still feeling sad, anxious, or uncertain.
And through living, something inside you slowly begins to heal.

Take the walk.
Start the journey.
Try the new thing.

You don’t need a perfect mind to live a meaningful life.
