PTECH students had a great summer camp last week. Students coming into 9th and 10th grade participated in a week-long summer camp at the SUNY Adirondack Queensbury campus.

PTECH Summer Camp is a hands-on STEM program that introduces students to two technology areas: Advanced Manufacturing and IT Networking. The theme of the camp is Teamwork and Respect. They completed a challenge course and spent time in technical classes.​ This year's field trip was to TyMetal. Local business partnerships are so important.

Next up - “Bridge Activities" when school starts.

The New York State Education Department hosted the 2026 New York State My Brother’s Keeper Symposium, bringing together more than 1,000 students, educators and leaders from across the state to explore ways to support student success, leadership and opportunity.

WSWHE BOCES also brought students together locally to watch the symposium virtually and engage in meaningful discussions with their peers about the topics presented.

CLUTCH CAMERON: This week's Big Board Sports Athlete of the Week has been rising up on the Queensbury record books. Cameron Porter is a senior athlete who recently eclipsed 100 career points, and hopes to break the school's all-time assists record before his high school career ends.
