This month, St. John’s University proudly dedicated the Joseph Sciame School of Education Recruitment Center in honor of Joseph Sciame ’71ED and his decades of service, mentorship, and commitment to generations of students. His legacy has helped shape countless futures, and now it will continue to inspire every student who walks through its doors.

Carolyn Moglia is finding her stride in St. John’s inaugural nursing class just in time for National Nurses Week!

This is one of the first to pursue this new degree pathway while immersing herself in clinical rotations at Mount Sinai Hospital, shadowing ER teams, and navigating the realities of nursing education.

From long shifts to building patient trust, her story shows the dedication it takes to answer the call to care. Congrats, Carolyn! We’re so proud!

Seymour Siwoff ’43SJC will be posthumously honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame with the Ralph Hay Pioneer Award for his transformative work at Elias Sports Bureau, Inc. A Purple Heart recipient and accounting graduate, Siwoff revolutionized how professional football statistics are documented and analyzed.
