The portal for the summer rising is now open through www.myschools.nyc . You must have an account with MySchools to apply for Summer Rising. In order to make an account you must have your child’s student ID and the 6 digit creation code. The letter containing your child’s Student ID and creation code will be sent home today.

On 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 The Ronald McNair School, PS/MS 147Q will be hosting a Winter Holiday Showcase featuring our middle school 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝟔-𝟖 from 9AM-11AM in our school auditorium. Doors will open at 8:45 AM. All students performing should arrive promptly by 8:00AM. You do not want to miss out on what the Music and Spanish department has in store for you!

On December 14,2023, The Ronald McNair School, PS/MS 147Q will be hosting a Winter Holiday Showcase featuring grades K-5 and a special performance from the Kofago Dance Ensemble from 6PM-8PM in our school auditorium. Doors will open at 5:30PM. All students performing will arrive promptly at 5:00pm.

We will have an amazing evening of theatrics,drama, song, dance and culture, culminating with a surprise guest!!It will be a “Must See” show!!! Delicious snacks and treats will be sold !!!

Tickets are on sale NOW. Early Bird special price is $5.00 per person, seats will be on a first come first serve basis. The price will go up to $10.00 two days before the show on December 12,2023. Tickets will be sold at the door. Get them before they sell out! Please complete the tear-off below and submit a clearly labeled envelope to your child’s teacher with exact change. SEE YOU THERE!

Just a reminder, there has been a switch on the calendar this week. Today, November 14 is Pajama day and Thursday is Dress to Impress and Picture Day.

Today was Twin day but here’s the catch, you had to twin with someone we’d least expect!

Thank you so much to Ms. Rachel for helping us kick off our American Heart Association’s Kid’s Heart Challenge. We are so excited to complete Finn’s challenge as a school community.
