Private voice teacher in Queens. I am a voice instructor based in Queens. I work with students of all ages and have experience teaching ESL learners.
I have experience performing and teaching worship, classical, pop, country, and musical theatre. I am dedicated to helping students grow not only as musicians and performers, but also as people. With a Bachelor of Music and a Masters of Arts in Ethnomusicology, I am passionate about tailoring lesson materials to each student's experiences and unique background. Vocal Exercises! I talk to my students all the time about the importance of vocal exercises. It is so cool that while different cultures do vocal exercises in different ways with different focuses, many cultures still place a high value on vocal exercises!

Recently had the fun task of helping one of my students sing in Elvish (Thanks J.R.R. Tolkien). I also have students singing in Spanish and French.
Singing in a different language helps stretch singers musically as they work to properly produce vowel and consonant sounds, but also deepens our appreciation for people who have learned multiple languages!

I don't always wear a dino face shield, but when I do it is for singing lessons. With hand sanitizer, excitement, and Petunia the class pet this week's first in-person lesson went great!

Tiaras help us practice good posture! One of my students wore a tiara to class a few weeks ago, so we had the chance to remember to hold our heads high when wearing a crown and when singing.
