Chorale Tour 2026 to Anaheim
A Pirate Adventure! 🏴☠️
Thursday morning we boarded a charter bus and headed to Fullerton College where we got to workshop our pieces with the incredible John Tebay. He had such a way of inspiring and encouraging us. We loved working with him! He was extremely complimentary and was so kind and great with us.
Afterwards we went to the Pirate Dinner Adventure! So fun and silly and a great way to spend the evening!
Friday we woke up and went to our Forum Festival. It was wonderful to watch other choirs perform and support other schools. We especially loved cheering on Mountain Ridge and Scottsdale Prep from AZ! Chorale performed about 11 with Encore soon after. Both groups sang with passion and had taken the notes from Mr Tebay and responded so well and so quickly. They each gave memorable performances and impressed the judges a lot, earning GOLD!!! 🏆Gianna and Derek won individual awards as well for outstanding musicianship!
From there we went to the beach for some dry beach fun! Volleyball, walking the pier, frisbee…being together in perfect weather was the best part of all! ☀️🏖️ Fullerton College happened to be performing Pirates of Penzance this weekend, so thanks to Boosters, we were able to go see this incredible show! 🏴☠️
Saturday we woke up early and went to sing at Disneyland for their Imagination Campus choir experience. We got to work with Disney recording artist and performer Terron Brooks on Moana and Encanto music and had the best time! We then had 12 hours in Disneyland to have fun! We loaded the bus at 11:45pm for an overnight drive back to school.
What a wonderful trip! Huge thanks to Project Exploration for designing our trip! And thanks to our parents and Boosters for helping us get here through fundraising efforts, our amazing pianist Erin Blake, incredible colleague Jennifer Pearce and chaperones extraordinaire: Marvin Pearce, Matt Clausen, Katie Burleson, and Amy Fernandez. Monday and Tuesday March 2-3, the JH and HS choirs from Casteel put on two amazing shows, “A night on Broadway”.
The students came up with the costumes, the choreography, and the hair/make-up. Even the lighting and sound was done by students! In addition to the 8 choirs performing, 8 showcase numbers were performed by invitation after an audition process. Everyone did an amazing job!

NAU Jazz/Mad 2026 was amazing! Encore had the best time. They sang so well and made some pretty great music together!
The jazz set was one of their best performances of the year! Everyone was locked in and it was magic! Peter Eldridge of New York Voices was our clinician and was very impressed. It was so rewarding to have all that hard work be recognized by someone like him!
Our madrigal set went really well too. The venue was a bit hard to hear but the singers did outstanding making it work. We got to perform the festival premier of “Aurora” by Gianna Owen’s and that was incredible. Working with the great Zanaida Robles was incredible.
Other highlights include:
Watching NYV live
Hearing Las Vegas academy’s Sunset Swing (wow!)
Hearing High Altitude 🤩
Road trippin with friends
The Drury
Chick-fil-a
Sunset point impromptu photos
Anthem outlet food court
Chat gpt 🤣
Making lifelong memories ❤️
Getting superiors on both performances and getting one point away from perfect scores in each was also pretty cool 😎
Thank you Dr Ryan Holder and everyone at NAU for putting together such an outstanding event! We loved every minute!
