First away games of the season and the C**ts showed up! 🐴💙

Our volleyball and baseball teams headed out to take on Cooley today — and from what we saw on those sidelines, our kids came ready to compete. 💛⚾🏐

And shoutout to our wrestlers — we didn’t catch them on camera but we heard they handled business and won multiple matches today. That’s what we like to hear! 🤼🏆

Q1 season is underway and C**t pride is everywhere. Let’s go! 🐴

Teacher Spotlight ✨ Coach Bubak

Coach Bubak teaches APA here at Casteel and her class is honestly one of a kind. 💛

APA is designed to prepare students for Sports Academy if they choose to go that route next year — think speed training, agility, moving your body, and yes… sometimes just playing fun games. 🏃‍♀️⚡ It’s PE with a purpose.

But here’s our favorite thing about Coach Bubak — she wasn’t even looking for a new chapter when Casteel found her. She got an email from our school while she was living in Nebraska, took a leap of faith, and moved across the country to be here. 🗺️🐴

And we are SO glad she did.

Welcome to the herd, Mrs. Garriott! 🐴💙

Mrs. Garriott is joining Casteel as a para in Mrs. Mackey’s classroom and we are so glad she’s here! She brings 12 years of Early Childhood Education experience and a heart for kids that never quit — even after her own grew up and left the house. 🤍

When she’s not on campus you’ll find her camping off the grid 🏕️, rooting for her 3 grandbabies (plus one on the way! 🥹), and preparing for elk hunting season in November. Yes, really. 🦌

At home she has Bowser — a 100 pound dog who thinks he’s a lap dog. We love him already. 🐶😂

Her students can expect positivity, encouragement, and someone who will always have their back. 💛

Mrs. Mackey Stidham‘s Casteel C**ts Coffee Crew is back in action for the new school year! Not only making teachers happy with special deliveries, but working on social and math skills. This group of boys are ready to roll! ☕️☕️☕️

Welcome to the herd, Mrs. Thomas! 🐴💙

Mrs. Thomas is joining Casteel as one of our Assistant Principals and we could not be more excited to have her. She brings 14 years of classroom experience teaching math, marketing, and business — plus 10 years as an administrator. Safe to say she knows her way around a school. 💛She’s an ASU grad with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Education, with additional principal coursework from University of Phoenix. But honestly the most impressive line on her résumé? She once built a training division for initial response to oil well fires. Yes, really. 🔥 Our new AP is not to be messed with.

Outside of school you’ll find her hiking, working out, playing volleyball, or catching a good sunset. 🌅 She also just got married — congrats! — and now has not one but two doodles at home keeping things lively. 🐾🐾

Her goal is simple — to help every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally and realize their potential. And Casteel students can count on one thing every single morning — a smile and a good morning from Mrs. Thomas. 🤍
