Queen Creek, AZ
The Queen Creek Police Department is actively investigating an assault involving an adult male victim that occurred on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m. on the west side of the Queen Creek Marketplace (in the service area).
Video evidence from the assault allowed investigators to identify a 14-year-old suspect, who has been arrested and booked on robbery and assault charges.
QCPD is working to identify additional persons involved, as well as witnesses who may have additional information. UPDATE: QCPD continues the investigation for a person of interest but officers believe the individual has left the area.
Police have detained two people. Initial reports indicate shots fired in the area of Sierra Park and Ellsworth Road. There are no reported victims or injuries at this time.
The outstanding individual is described as a dark skinned male, 5'7", thin build, wearing dark clothes, white tennis shoes and a dark colored beanie.
If you see the individual, don't approach - please call 9-1-1.
If you have information regarding the situation, please call 480-358-3500.
Community alert: QCPD is asking residents living in the area of Sierra Park and Ellsworth Road to remain indoors and lock the doors as a precautionary measure. Police are looking for a person of interest who is believed to be armed.

🚨 QCPD has heard from several residents who have seen social media posts stating individuals have been using the Marco Polo game or placing objects in vehicle door handles in public parking lots, in an effort to sex-traffic women and children in the area.
The individual may say they have spoken to police and have confirmed that this is taking place in our community.
This is NOT true. QCPD has not received any reports of any such incidents. These urban legends have been circulating for a while.
We ask you to always be aware of your surroundings and call 911 or our non-emergency line at 480-358-3500 if you see something suspicious.
