Throwing it back to our kindergarteners' first day of school!
We're looking back at our little learners proudly coloring their "I Had an Awesome First Day!" pictures. Those first-day smiles have grown into new friendships, exciting discoveries, and growing confidence in the classroom.
In just two short weeks, our kindergarteners have learned routines, explored new skills, and shown us how brave and capable they are. We can't wait to see all they'll accomplish this school year!

πΊπΈ Happy Birthday to the United States Coast Guard! πΊπΈ
The U.S. Coast Guard was founded on this day in 1790 under President George Washington, as our nation's first naval defense system.
Today, we honor the service and sacrifice of the women and men who protect our waters and keep our nation safe. Thank you to all the Coast Guard members, past and present, for your dedication and bravery!

π§ π¬ Thinking, Collaborating, and Learning Together! π¬π§
What number doesn't belong... 9, 16, 25, or 43?
Mrs. McGarry's students recently participated in the same rich math task our teachers experienced during last week's professional development. Working in collaborative groups, students discussed their thinking, justified their answers with mathematical reasoning, and shared their ideas with the class.
At FMSE, we believe learning is about more than finding the right answerβit's about thinking critically, collaborating with others, and supporting your ideas with evidence. We love seeing our students engaged in meaningful mathematical conversations! ππ€
