The Tournament has events for Open hand Form, Weapon Form, Point Sparring. WEAPON FORM: Traditional and "extreme" will compete together. "Extreme" your weapon may leave your hand, not dropped. twirl around body, thrown up in air and caught. No weapon should be stabbing floor/mat = control. Judges may ask to inspect weapon, before competing to insure safety for all. OPEN HAND FORM: Traditional an

"Extreme" maybe flips, cartwheels, "crazy kick" combos, perhaps a developed form not traditional. POINT SPARRING: All competitors must wear headgear, handgear, footgear,( all dipped foam, no open toed) and mouthpiece, all male competitors must have groin protection. No intentional head contact! We do score "Focus" points within 2 inches : with good technique< however if there is an incidental touch to top and side of headgear, with no noise. (Not a contact.) If there is a touch to face or back of headgear = contact / warning. If there is a head jerk = contact/ warning. (adult black belt competitors will discuss level of contact)
No low kicks. Legs or groin. Contact / warning. No blind Techniques, especially spinning techniques. Warning / contact
No excessive force. No sweeps/take downs. Nothing to the back. You may cheer. Coaching from your seats, not at ring.
5 point, unless takes to long then 30 second clock. First Warning / contact - Second warning / contact disqualified that match.( does not have to be same place)

Adult Black Belts will have a sparring Grand Champion, cash prize. Spectator fee-$5.00 adults, kids under 5 yr free
Doors open 9:00 am. Black Belt meeting 9:15 am. Tournament starts at 10:00 am. Competitors will be assigned a ring for open hand Form, and point sparring. Weapon form will begin after11:00. Competing adult Black Belts, will decide the level of contact, time limit and/ or points to win. $10.00 from each competing Black Belt will be totaled for Sparring Grand Champion cash prize.
