We are comprised entirely from parent and family volunteers. What is PAL? PAL stands for People Aiding Learning, we are the parent/teacher organization for Neidig Elementary School. Our goal is to provide the foundation for a close personal relationship between the home and school community. Through events and fundraisers PAL is able to financially support access for all students to class trips, assemblies, and equipment that enhances their education. Be on the lookout for our monthly family fun nights; in September we feature an Ice Cream and Water Ice Social! Family fun nights, field trips, and the 5th grade yearbook are just some of the great things PAL is doing to build character in our children and unity in our families. The PAL Board members are so excited to meet you! When does PAL meet? All parents are invited to attend our monthly general information meetings where important school and event information is discussed. The first meeting of the school year will be TBD. What is the Race for Education/Cookie Dough Fundraiser? Our main fundraising event at Neidig is the Race for Education. The Race for Education is a walk through various obstacles and activities that children and teachers participate in one afternoon in October. Students demonstrate teamwork, school spirit and positive character all while raising funds to support our school! We solicit donations each year by asking families for the addresses of people who they believe will contribute money to our school. Both of these fundraisers raise the money needed for the PAL 2021-22 budget. Information will be sent home with your child explaining how to participate in this very important event. How Can I Get Involved? Great Question! There are three simple ways: contact a Board member listed above, attend the PAL meeting, or sign up for a committee at Back to School Nigh. It’s easy!
