This is normally a small creek. With the additional rain, it's running like a small but fast river this morning. As the rain lightens up, the creek is beginning to calm down already. I love to see what it becomes in and after this increase because everything shifts and it take a bit of a new shape each time.

Isn't that the way it is in life too?

We get challenged with what feels fast and chaotic. The energy we experience through that, leads us to making choices... choices that shape our life. Once we get through it, the picture looks a little different.

A LEADER IS:

What is your answer to this?

A guest showed up certain that they would breeze right through the learning stations..

I mean, why wouldn't he?

He was a leader of many and a very strong leader at that.

Our objective was building trust.

Our horse- the TEACHER- walked away. Was she telling him she wasn't interested? That she didn't want to work with him? That, as I often hear, " she doesn't like me"?

She was actually beginning to teach and through our program, reminded him to approach her as an individual with her own communication and desired leadership needs. She needed to TRUST him to do that.

By the end of our 12 week program, our guest was enjoying his job again, remembering who he was and why they moved him to his position. He smiled and his shoulders moved away from his ears. He had a renewed confidence in his leadership ability. He was able to TRUST the process, TRUST the the teacher and TRUST himself.

He decided to celebrate with having his team come for a team growth day. He TRUSTED us to take his team to a new level with him.

Alot of TRUST going on here!

She went to work dragging herself there. Feelings of being inadequate/ an imposter twisted her gut daily. She just couldn't do or be enough anywhere in her life.
She was brave and knew there was still a light and a hope so she stepped into our program.

What happened next.. she saw herself in a new light.
She found her strengths and nurtured her weaknesses.
She became connected in the things that mattered.
By implementing life skills and becoming a leader of herself, she became a planner and gained confidence in her ability, saw the beauty and blessings around her.

Let me encourage you to see the beauty in you.

Barely making eye contact upon arrival, no confidence, solitude and disconnect filled the space.

The First half hour we couldn't find a smile.

12 weeks later after our intentional program, there is now hope, a direction and a plan, connection.. mostly to the horse but humans are now getting the eye contact and a smile.

What changed?
Our guest changed- their thinking, perspective and implementing life and leadership skills to lead themselves in a way that opened a more broad picture of possibilities.

She came in immediately kissing the horse on the face, I don't know about you but that's not how I like to meet someone for the first time. To her benefit, we were working on a program that introduced what healthy boundaries looks like.

She had her sponsor with her and while her sponsor watched the horse push the limits with our guest, she turned to me and said, "this is exactly what her family does to her".

Healthy boundaries wasn't a fix all but was a step into helping our guest build her tool kit for a more meaningful and respectful relationship with her family.

You will, as a team, work through obstacle challenges to work toward a goal. Here horses become part of your team to help teach life and leadership skills. These skills equip you to be a leader of yourself leading you to take a reaction and turn it into a response.
