We’ve welcomed new students, built new friendships, celebrated successes, and filled our halls with learning, laughter, and school spirit.

Early Release at 12:36

As a reminder, today is PSD Fair Day!

Each year, Puyallup School District partners with the Washington State Fair to celebrate Fair Day. All schools will have a 3.25 Hour Early Release today, giving students and families an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, rides, and, of course, the fair food that make the Washington State Fair such a memorable experience.

Our mobile learning lab, MILLIE, will be on site, along with district representatives and community partners. Come say hello, enjoy the Fair, and have a wonderful Fair Day!

🌅 What a night at Sunrise! ❤️💙

Back to School Night was a HUGE success! It was so good seeing so many of our returning families back in the building and getting to welcome a whole bunch of new families into the Sunrise community.

The energy was awesome, the halls were packed, and it already feels like we’re off to a GREAT start! 🙌

A huge thank you to our incredible teachers and staff for all the work they put in to make families feel welcomed and excited for the year ahead. And shoutout to our amazing PTA for always showing up and supporting our school community! 👏

And of course…Kona Ice made the night even sweeter! 🍧😎

Day 1 of Staff Supplemental Days and the energy and passion for Sunrise and our students shined! Our amazing educators have been placed on teams for the week.

Today kick started the fun with a school wide challenge course and wrapped up with “Sunrise Council” where teams voted for a member to recognize for skill.

The fun continues this week as we continue with our learning while taking time to connect, have fun, and remember that we are better when we RISE TOGETHER and REACH HIGHER!

Supplemental Days are just a few days away… so naturally Mr. O and Mr. G have spent the summer preparing. 😂

Turns out we missed our people so much this summer, we had to turn them into a board game. 😂❤️

Can’t wait to have everyone back together in just a few days. Let the games begin! ☀️

The first day of school is right around the corner, Sunrise families! ☀️

We’re getting excited to welcome our Superstars back for another great year. As you get ready for the first day, here are a few important dates, resources, and reminders to help your family start the year strong.

IMPORTANT DATES
August 17 – Bus routes and stop information available in StopFinder
August 24 – FREE walk-in immunization clinic at Aylen Junior High
August 26 – Elementary classroom assignments available in Focus
August 27th, Back to School Night 4:30-6pm at Sunrise!
September 2 – First day of school for Grades 1–6
September 8 – First day of Kindergarten

BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS
💻Focus Parent Portal — NEW THIS YEAR!
Home Access Center (HAC) has been replaced by the new Focus Parent Portal. Families will use Focus to:
• View classroom assignments
• Complete annual enrollment verification
• Access important student information

✅Enrollment Verification
All Sunrise families need to complete the annual Enrollment Verification form in Focus. Please take a moment to review and update your contact and student information.

🛜Student Technology Agreement
Enrollment verification must be completed before families can access the Student Technology Agreement. This agreement is required for students to receive a district device.

✂️School Supply Lists
School supply lists are available through the district and on the Sunrise website. ^^Also linked to our IG profile.

🚌Bus Transportation
Bus routes and stop information are available through the StopFinder mobile app.
