Team 2929 started in 2009 with two mentors and eight students who had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Frustrated the team could not find the will to move on. Paul Baxter pledged his fearless mentorship to Jagbots Team 2929. With our team technically a veteran team, we were faced with all kinds of problems, without any knowledge of how FIRST operated and the process to make a succes

What a run the last three years; Streamworks, Power Up, and Deep Space, having been the coach of the Jagbots! Every year we experienced ups and downs, as we worked towards building the program.

I am so excited to see what all my robotics kids will do in the future!

Proud Coach here!

The JagBots competed hard at the Auburn High School District event this weekend. We finished qualifications as the first alternate, missing out on eliminations.

Then, when another robot broke and was unable to continue, we stepped in to fill the alliance void. We competed hard in the finals and when our alliance came up short against the #1 seed, we were able to hold our heads up high!

Build Update Day 33 of 45

Today provided sir excellent learning opportunities for the team. They learned to double check the fasteners they are using and verifying we are properly aligning robot components before fastening then to the robot!

That being said, we did make good progress today.

The lift continues to progress. We have the first lift mounted and are working to mount the second lift.

The ramp on the second robot continues to progress and we should be able to mount it during the next meeting.

We cut both electronics board. We laid out the electronics and began the wiring and mounting process.

We finished prepping the fundraiser tickets and issued 10 to reach team member, with a goal of 15 tickets sold per team member.

We would like to give a big thank you to the Pak family for providing dinner today!

Build Update Day 32 of 45

With the crazy week we have had, we had a very productive day! He are the today's highlights:

Grabber Team - Complete build on the first of the grabbers.

Lift Team - Began mounting the first lift and testing the slide of the lift. The piece for the second lift have been cut and drilled, assembly is coming up next.

Business Team - We for the tickets and flyer completed for this year's Robot Reveal fundraiser. We also got in contact with Sterling Athletics, shirts will be available for order here in the next couple of days. The website is now operational and we need to update the team member late and community outreach page. Feel free to take a look at:

Build Season Update Day 28 of 45

What an amazing meeting! I am so proud of the team and the leadership they showed today. The team, without prompting, demonstrated excellent initiative; organizing themselves and setting goals.

Build:

Grabber Team - continued with on the second grabber and got the pneumatic piston attached to the assembly. Up next is to create the attachment to the lift system

Lift Team - Worked on a mounting solution, to attach the lift to the robot and continued properties the second lift

Ramp Team - Got the slides mounted on the robot, mounted the ramp motor, and got the structural supports on the second robot

Programming is in a holding pattern and working with the build team. Once we have a functional robot, they will continue to improve our code and autonomous functions

We would like to give a big shout out to the Brosnon family for providing lunch today and the Orona family for providing lunch last Thursday!

- The ramp team continued to build the structure and cut the polycarbonate for the ramp. We should see the first ramp completed on Saturday
- Grabber and left is also progressing, continuing to get the assemblies ready

Programming

- Our code has been updated to enable and utilize encoders and the gyro! I am super excited to see how our autonomous works this year.

Team Shirts

- We will be using Sterling Athletics for this year's team apparel. We created our sponsors list and access to ordering should be available by the weekend

Build Update Day 21 of 45

We had another productive day, as we near the halfway point of the build season.

Build

- The ramp team began constructing and mounting the support pieces for the ramp. They also worked with polycarbonate today, prepping pieces for electronics
- The grabber team got the planetary gearbox and bag motor mounted to the assembly and continued work on preparing the second assembly
- The lift team continued to prep the scissors for mounting to the robot chassis, rounding corners to allow for smoother gliding

Programming

- The programmers continue to improve on our vision code. The robot can now travel to a programmed distance using vision autonomously!

Mentors

- Coach B started work on a team website, we will keep everyone posted as the website is readied.
- Coach B also re-vamped the flyer and tickets for this year's robot reveal fundraiser. Information on how to get involved will be coming out soon.
- Coach David (Coach Orona's son) taught the team how to measure distances and angles in CAD, allowing us to be faster and more specific in prepping pieces for the robot

We would like to give a big shout-out to the Park family for providing lunch today!

Build Update Day 19 of 45

The team did a great job making some important build decisions yesterday, as we move from the prototyping process into robot build. Today was also filled with a large amount of Algebra and Geometry for the team members!

Build
- The grabber team worked to find a solution to motorize their design
- The ramp team began calculating distances and angle measures in order to prepare the structural supports for the robot and ramp
- The lift team began the initial mounting process, connecting the lift to the robot

Programming
- They paid the build teams a visit, gaining better understanding of the systems and their programming needs
- They then began the class based programming for the various non-drive systems

We would like to give a big shout out to the Pope family for providing the team dinner yesterday!

We highly encourage visitors during this process and look forward to seeing more people at ERHS!
