School will follow the Early Release Schedule, with dismissal at **11:40 AM**.

🏆💜💛 Congratulations to Puyallup High School Renaissance on earning the prestigious Jostens Renaissance School of Distinction Platinum Award for 2026! 💛💜🏆

This national recognition is one of the highest honors a school can receive for building a positive school culture and climate, and it reflects the incredible work our Renaissance team does every day to make PHS a place where students and staff feel connected, valued, and celebrated.

Under the leadership of Hall of Famer Jamie Mooring, Renaissance has made a tremendous impact on our Viking community. This year, the team organized multiple schoolwide events, including Rock, Paper, Scissors tournaments, schoolwide games, Decision Day, and Winter Wishes, while also partnering with staff and students to improve attendance and strengthen student engagement.

Their commitment to recognizing others, building relationships, and creating meaningful experiences helps make Puyallup High School a place where Vikings thrive.

Thank you to Mrs. Mooring, our Renaissance students, and all who support this work. We are so proud to see your dedication to the Viking community recognized on a national level! 🏆

🎨🚗 SENIORS — PAINT YOUR PARKING SPOT! 🚗🎨

Class of 2027, it’s time to make your mark at PHS! 💜💛

Senior Parking Spot Packets are available now! You can find them: In Principal Sunich’s newsletter; On the Schoology Class of 2027 page; and In person during Prep Days

Payment begins: August 19 during Prep Days
Cost: $30 in addition to the regular parking permit
Painting Days: August 21 & August 24 | 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

A few important reminders:
✨ Painted spots are yours for the entire school year and cannot be changed or repainted.
✨ Bring your completed design blueprint on painting day.
✨ Designs must be school appropriate and match your submitted design.
✨ All spots must include a “27” in the bottom corner.
✨ Students must paint over an existing painted spot and may not paint over parking lines.
✨ Students provide their own water-based paint and supplies and are responsible for cleanup.

Please review the full packet, rules, and agreement before registering.

We can’t wait to see the Class of 2027 bring their creativity and Viking spirit to the PHS parking lot! 💜💛

This spring, Joseph Kim was selected by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as this year’s recipient of their Medal award. In recognition of his excellence in mathematics education, Joseph has been awarded an on-going 4-year scholarship to Rensselaer Polytechnic. Congratulations, Joseph!
