Puyallup High School Alumni Association The Puyallup Alumni Association was formed in 1992 from members of the Puyallup Centennial Committee. Membership in the PHS Alumni Association is free!

The two primary missions of the PHS Alumni Association is to raise funds in order to provide scholarships to graduating seniors and to promote continued social interaction between alumni across the decades . After 18-months of planning, the group hosted its first Alumni Fundraiser (dinner/dance), which witnessed 200 attendees and raised a little money to be put toward scholarships for PHS graduates. The event was well-received and there was clear demand for an encore. The Dinner/Dance was repeated the following year and annually after that. In a single night, as many as 540 attendees have enjoyed this occasion and all proceeds go directly to scholarships. Over the years, the Alumni Association has:

* Established and maintained the PHS Heritage Museum in the commons are at PHS

* Assisted the Viking Booster Club and Celebration of Success

* Relocated and refurbished the original gates from Viking Field

* Raised funds for the PHS Special Olympics Program and other groups

* Funded pitching machine and Championship rings for the baseball team

* Funded a new storage building for the tennis teams

* Updated the PHS Alumni Directory

Wow! Puyallup certainly IS “The Land of Generous People”! Our 33rd annual PHS Alumni Party and Fundraiser held this past Sunday, besides being an absolute blast, raised over 8% more funds than the prior year! This was in spite of having nearly 15% fewer attendees! It just goes to show how our community digs deeper when necessary and remains committed to helping ensure the future success of our PHS seniors!

A brief recap:
The weather was perfect, the BBQ offering from My4Sons was more than delicious, the live music by Billy Shew was diverse and highly tuned to our festivities! Our casual venue at Cockrell Cider Farm is a great fit; beautiful and accommodating, and supported by a knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The day included raffles, wine toss, and chickens who seem to have figured out that the sooner they “do their business” - the sooner they get to return to their home!

We want to thank all of our donors, participants, and volunteers for continuing this great tradition and helping us support our two missions:
1-Raising funds for Voc-Tech and Community College scholarships

2-Maintaining the social network that has grown to be a vital aspect of our community!

Our hats are off to you all and we are humbled by your willingness to help us maintain our PHS ecosystem. We salute you, while asking you to mark your calendars for 8/29/27, when we will once again gather at Cockrell’s to continue honoring this portion of our amazing Puyallup heritage!
