Happy Wednesday Trailblazers!

Last night we had our first PTA meeting of the year! Congratulations to our parent member Ryan! They won a certificate to Ascend Gymnastics in Sumner.

Heres an overview of what you may have missed!

🏫Students are beginning benchmark testing! Ensure that your student is getting a good nights rest and some fuel in the morning!

🎒Our major focus for the year is on the fundraising for the playground update. We have many opportunities for you to be involved in this whether it is in person or at home, interacting with the kids or solely focusing on connecting with businesses. If you have an interest please reach out!

UPCOMING EVENTS:
🐻Fall Fundraiser with Brown Bear Car Wash:
9/28-10/11. This fundraiser funds the PTA for the entire year. These funds cover different events throughout the year, teacher grants, teacher appreciation days etc.
📚Fall Book Fair:
10/19-10/23. Proceeds from this event cover our library grant for the year and provides books to our classrooms and teachers. Volunteers needed.
🎃2nd Annual Trunk or Treat
10/30. Back again by popular demand our Shaw Road staff with be decorating their trunks for a spooky night of fun! CANDY DONATIONS NEEDED. Know of a business that would love to donate candy to our cause? Let us know!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
🎡Playground committee: Please reach out with any interest as there are a wide variety of ways that you can help!
🎨Art Docent: 2-3 volunteers needed to guide students through pre planned art lessons. 1.5-2hrs, quarterly.
🏃‍♂️Recess Runners: Tuesdays-Thursday 12:15-2:30. 1-2 volunteers needed to sit and relax while tallying the kids laps and pass out popsicles. Looking to start back up towards the end of October. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C44A5AD28A2FDC07-65384563-recess #/
