The t-shirt fraudsters whose mom's clearly didn't like them so they have nothing better to do than rip people off are having their way with this page, because that's apparently the spirit of the times. So, if you get tagged by someone selling shirts, they're just an as***le.

An emergy has come up. We have no desserts! If there's anything we've learned in over 50 years is you got to have desserts if this is going to be a party!
Anyone who enjoys baking/creating desserts could be a blessing to your homeys.
Nothing store bought because we're not that desperate.

Hey there--It's Tim. This post from You Know You're From Puyallup When... made me reflect on a couple of things. First (and of course), Go Viks! Second, there's something reminiscent in the fashion choice in it that made me reflect on some of the things '80s Tim also apparently thought were a great idea.

In the spirit of catching up with the times... two things:

First, would it be more beneficial to make a facebook group for the class, instead of this page? In a private group consisting of the class members (and their families?), people in the group could post and share things as they like with others. Maybe that would better facilitate connections and updates.

Second, a 33rd-year reunion could potentially be a thing. A 1/3rd of a century! Woot! Woot! That's as far away in time from 1990 as 1957! But, I'm not sure about interest or realistic availability among the class. Alternatively, sure, 35-years might work because it'd be fun to see you all, but meh... 35-shmirty-five. 40 seems a long way away...

Maybe this could be a discussion for a PHS Class of 1990 facebook group. If there are people who would like to be administrators of it, please let me know. Also though, if there is one already and it's a case of "Shhhh! Don't let Lower know, he'll run through the fire or something" I totally understand. '80s me was... oh, in all honestly apparently too much like 2020s me.

Hope all continues to be happy and well with you and yours,

tim

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of our classmate and friend, Adam Palmer.

Hey everyone--It's me Tim again. So, it's pretty clear that we should wait until the summer and see how things are going before continuing to plan things. After all, my iTunes Store is showing that REM's "It's the End of the World as We Know It" is the 33rd most downloaded song right now.

However, I pledge that at 7:30pm PDT on June 11th, 2020, I'll stop whatever I'm doing for a bit and reflect on my life, and my best wishes for each of yours over the course of these 30 years since we last sat together in these seats. Please join me in thought and good will, wherever you may find yourself to be at that time.

May you and yours continue to be happy, and well.

Hey there everybody--It's me Tim. Firstly, thank you to those who participated in the vote on reunion locations. It is greatly appreciated.

As a group, the planning committee is concerned that the spread of COVID-19 and resulting suppression strategies may reduce the number of people who can or will attend a reunion this summer, thereby making it difficult to place a deposit on a location and hold a successful reunion. So, we are wondering what you all think might be best.

Suggestions within the committee include:
--holding the reunion at an outside park (such as Clark's Creek) so that people can disperse into smaller groups,
--holding the reunion later in the year (such as during the late summer, a fall holiday weekend, or on alumni day), or
--some combination thereof.

What do you think? Please let us know by commenting on this post or messaging this page.

For your reference, I've attached two charts from the Imperial College London study apparently underlying recent changes in US/UK approaches to suppression of the coronavirus. Both display the projected number of ICU beds occupied per 100,000 people. The first chart assumes that suppression measures will be in place through mid-September, 2020, and shows that cases will likely surge in the fall once suppression is concluded. The second chart displays the spread given an alternating suppression strategy lasting through the fall of 2021. These are the underlying estimates being used to support the 6-8 week projections until peak infection, and the potential for an 18-month suppression strategy.

Please take care of yourselves and each other.

One day left to vote on where to hold the reunion! Please vote, and tell your friends to do so as well.
