So true, parents pay attention to the foundational teaching ( developing a brain) in the first 5 years of life. Kids need human and real life, and nature to learn fundamentals otherwise they are learning to talk, think, understand life through the likes of Mickey Mouse, spidey, and peppa pig, etc. and losing their basis fine motor and gross motor practice of what their own body can do.

Sharing this for 3 reasons: 1. Georgi ❤️: her patience, communication skills and love for her sister 2. Transparency: Millie, like any child, makes mistakes. She often times struggles to communicate her need for space because she can’t get the words out quickly enough so a push or a grab is her immediate reaction. I spoke to Millie afterwards, but I stopped myself from interfering right away because I think it’s important for Georgi to express her feelings to Millie too. And to be honest, I think Georgi is often more effective at getting the lesson across to Millie than I am. 3) the first time I posted, the reel mysteriously disappeared 🤔 #downsyndromeawareness #trisomy21 #sisters
