Today, October 13, students participated in Build My Future at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, MO!

Students got to meet with employers around the state of Missouri in a multitude of career fields. They also participated in several simulations of what employees in fields such as welding, construction, and heavy machinery do on a daily basis!

It was an amazing day of learning, fellowship, and career exploration! ❤️🤍💙

This week, JAG students learned the GNAP (Greeting, Name, Affiliation, Purpose) method of introduction!

By using this method, students demonstrate responsibility and maturity when introducing themselves to guest speakers, teachers, and one day, employers. Next time you see a JAG student, ask them to GNAP!

Puxico High School & Junior High School JAG are excited to invite you to our annual Initiation & Installation Ceremony on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Arnold Ryan Gymnasium.

Students will be officially welcomed into the JAG program and will receive a certificate. Parents and families are welcomed!

We can’t wait to see you and celebrate with you!

What a day!

Today, October 1, Puxico JAG and VoTech students participated in Poplar Bluff’s Manufacturing Day. We got to tour Rheem, Gates Corporation, and Briggs & Stratton. Students got to witness firsthand what goes in to these jobs on a daily basis and got to see the employees in each factory in action.

Thank you to each factory for welcoming us and making a positive impact on each of these students!

Yesterday, our high school JAG teamed up with FBLA to enjoy a day at Busch Stadium!

Students got to experience a Q&A session with professionals that work in sports media, and then took part in a college fair with local colleges.

Today, JAG students got to hear from Ashley Lepold, Director Nursing Administration at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Lepold informed students of the various careers within the hospital setting, from nursing, to surgery, to hospitality, to technology. Students learned that healthcare is not limited to just becoming a doctor or nurse; it also isn’t limited to one single education or certification pathway.

We are thankful for Mrs. Lepold’s knowledge and willingness to visit our classroom! ❤️🤍💙

Explore Careers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol! 🚨

Missouri JAG students are invited to attend the Third Annual Missouri State Highway Patrol Career Expo on October 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters in Jefferson City!

Students will have the opportunity to explore 60+ civilian career positions along with careers as a Missouri State Trooper.

Career areas include:
🔹 Criminalist & Forensic Scientist
🔹 Communications Officer
🔹 Information Technology Specialist
🔹 Automotive Technician
🔹 Laboratory Technician
🔹 Administrative Professional
🔹 Public Information Specialist
🔹 And many more!

This is a great hands-on opportunity for students to meet professionals, explore different career paths, and learn about the education and skills needed to pursue them. 🎓💼
