Learning how to connect -- to listen and share your heart -- with Nature is a life-long process. It also can connect you to parts of yourself you have never recognized or claimed before.

"Mother Nature" is a common phrase that recognizes that this world -- primal reality -- created us and not vice-versa... that this living presence is literally "the Creator," and as such... as I wrote a long time ago, "Nature is the visible face of the Spirit." It is only through deep encounters with this "unknown," this "Great Mystery," that we have the possibility of realizing more of the totality of who we are.

This is the story of one such encounter back in 1996. Enjoy...
