Hey Friends! I have exciting news to share! I am planning to offer a 6-week nature play-based outdoor program for a small group of children ages 3-5 up in Marlboro this spring, likely on Thursday mornings.

I have a really dreamy space in the works with a covered gazebo space for eating snack and table activities, playscape and access to over a 100 acres of woods to explore with logging trails.

Let me know if you want to added to a list of people interested or know anyone who this might compliment whatever else they are doing. I’ll be putting out registration materials in late winter.

I have 15 years experience in early childhood education including 8 years teaching at and running my own preschool, Wildflowers Playschool, in Putney 2014-2021 as well as working with and running various homeschool groups; I’m a mom to two kiddos ages 1 and 3; I’m a pre-k to third grade liscensed teacher. I have a deep passion for child led and nature based programming!

In addition to the program in the spring, I will be running future part time outdoor programs as well, so if you can’t do a spring thing but might be interested in something else for your family, let me know!

Tomorrow!! Free Sale at Wildflowers Playschool driveway on Sunday August 8th, 11am-3pm. Lots of fun stuff, toys, stuffed animals puzzles, art supplies, outerwear and shoes for 2t-5t, books, lots of cubbies and more!

Dear friends and community,

I have a major announcement! After an incredible amount of thought and conversation for many months, and after an incredibly difficult year+ due to Covid for my preschool as well as a simultaneous huge life change of having a baby, I have decided to close Wildflowers Playschool starting this summer until a later time when I don’t have to divide my attention so much between my own little growing family and the demands of running a business along with teaching at my school while trying to maintain the schools functionality during covids many challenges.

I will be taking a multi-year break, closing down the putney campus, turning toward my family while I scheme on Wildflowers Playschool’s next version.

I promise you haven’t seen the last of Wildflowers or my influence on rad education for little ones in the area! I have ideas brewing for when things are safer/less restrictive and when I’m through the tiny baby stage of life which I want to be very present in.

This decision is very sad and heavy for me. I have dedicated more than 7 years to creating my own little school and I have loved sharing it with the putney community and beyond.

Having a baby, trying to figure out how run a preschool during COVID has been all just so much to manage.

I am very happy and excited about spending more time with my baby Liora, growing food for my family and thinking up new ways to spend time holistically and outdoors with children in the future.

Wildflowers Playschool is planning to reopen in April! We are searching for:

Loose nature parts (acorns, small rocks, shells, pine cones, nests)
Bubble liquid
Preschool size helmets
Wood “cookies”
Extra rain gear in 2t,3t, 4t and 5t
Plastic pippetes
Soft frisbees (cloth or woven)
Outdoor lawn furniture cushions that can be wiped easily
Child sized metal Pails or baskets
Woven wire or Plastic multi bin organizer
Metal cars and trucks
Small metal trash can
Set of wooden blocks
Wicker baskets especially rectangle shape
Basketball hoop (not freestanding, one to screw in)
Spray bottles
Hepa air purifier
Preschool kid sized masks (disposable or fabric)
Doll sized masks
Pop up/ez up tent
