Forest for Learning is excited to announce our brand-new trail map!
This was redrawn from scratch to represent the current reality of the land, wetlands and trail network, along with fresh trail markers to help you find your way around. Notice the cute kiosk icon!

If you've been out in the F4L lately, you've probably already noticed that most intersections are signed – we are finishing up the last few, which will be installed soon!

Just as exciting: this trail network is up to date on *most* virtual mapping services, such as Strava and Footpath, so you can map out your desired route, get distance and elevation data, and even follow the map on your device!

You can view or download the full map at the link below, and it will be printed and put up at the kiosk soon.

Don't forget - our Spring Cleanup Day is this Saturday, May 18th from 10-2!

We will be keeping things simple for this one, with just basic clearing trails of sticks, leaf litter, pine cones, acorns, etc. Kids welcome!

Hey Putney Community! As spring seems to be here for real this time, we want to take a moment to gently remind you of our Land Use Policies. These are vital to protecting not only the integrity of the forest, but the health and safety of all forest users, including students.

Dogs MUST be leashed during student-use hours, M-F 8am-5pm. Outside these hours, they must be under the owner's control.

Please be sure to Leave No Trace - this includes carrying HOME your dog's waste. We do not have disposal facilities in the forest, nor does the town pool parking area.

Motorized vehicles of any type are not permitted in the forest. This is crucial to not only the environment, but trail quality and student safety.

Reminder: we are a small non-profit dedicated to protecting the Forest's ecological integrity and increasing the quantity and quality of its educational use. While we are proud of our partnerships with educational institutions like PCS, we're an independent organization, supported by donations and community volunteers.
