3 teams of Purvis FFA members competed today in the State Envirothon at the state FFA center in Raymond, MS. Statewide, the Purvis FFA and Agriscience program is known for its excellence in all natural science and environmental science knowledge and skills. Today these members carried on the tradition and made Purvis proud as they competed against the best high school environmental science programs (FFA and General Science) in the state. Our teams had the highest scores in 2 of the 5 tested categories (Wildlife, Forestry, Soils, Aquatics, and Current issue) and the FFA team placed highest in the state. They will represent MS the National FFA Convention in October in Indianapolis, IN!
