It’s story time . . . for adults! Spellbinding short stories by both established and emerging writers take on new life when they are performed by stars of stage and screen. You’ve heard the hit public radio series and podcast, now experience Selected Shorts live right here at The Purchase PAC.

Join us as a cast of actors including Purchase alums Michelle Beck '05 and Susie Essman '77 transport us through the magic of fiction, one short story at a time, and connect us to the world with a rich diversity of voices from literature, film, theater, and comedy.

Did you know?: Purchase College athletics is the former training facility of the NBA’s New York Knicks. The Knicks practiced at Purchase for over 10 years, culminating with the 2001 season. Some of the Knicks greatest players and coaches, from Patrick Ewing to Jeff Van Gundy, called Purchase home for their entire Knick careers, when the team wasn’t at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks last two NBA Finals appearances – 1994 and 1999 – came during the team’s time at Purchase.

Raditia Lasry
Mindfulness. Connection. Being Human.

Raditia Lasry ’19 (Liberal Arts) is the founder of Mindful Being, a practice centered on self-awareness, reflection, and meaningful connection. Through guided thought exchanges, meditation, and simple yoga practices, she helps individuals and groups navigate uncertainty and engage more fully with the present moment. Her books extend this philosophy through storytelling for both adults and children.

Meet Raditia at the Alumni Showcase, where she will share her mindfulness-based offerings and invite conversation around personal growth, creativity, and living with intention.
