is our next featured performer on 12/1- Amira B is a “New York City-based soulful R&B singer-songwriter, and head turner” (Jukely).  The Egyptian-born singer moved to Russia with her mother as a child and learned how to play the classical piano leading to her finding her voice and the confidence to sing in front of a crowd. At the age of 7, she once again moved with her mother to New York City where she was exposed to different forms of musical genres which changed her trajectory forever. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for voice and got a dual degree in Music Business and Songwriting at University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and is currently pursuing her Master’s for Music in Studio Composition at SUNY Purchase College’s Conservatory of Music. Balancing academics with a professional music career is not easy but Amira B makes it look easy as she released a myriad of singles and EPs alongside numerous collaborations with producers and artists alike.

will be performing his original songs at our showcase on 12/1- Billy Buono is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. He has been playing piano since childhood and is primarily self-taught. He also composes in multiple genres including jazz, rock and soul. Billy is now striving to expand his musical vocabulary by leaving his comfort zone and playing with many different musicians to create and produce new music.

.maguda is our next featured performer for the Music and Technology Showcase on 12/1!

Gavin Maguda is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer who enjoys all
aspects of music. From being a classically trained pianist, to his budding career in
music production, he believes in continued improvement and putting out the best product that he possibly can in every situation. Performing with him are Cadence Plenge and David Goldstein, two fellow students from the Purchase M&T program and talented musicians who wrote and featured in “Shut the Door When You Leave” with
Gavin Maguda.

and are our next student group performing in our showcase series on 12/1!


Wendi Mancaku (spelled ManSaku) is an Albanian pop/r&b artist, songwriter and producer. She started her career at the age of 7 in many national and international competitions like “Eurovision”. Wendi is currently in her junior year studying Studio Composition. She is known for blending different genres together and drawing influences from her heritage in her music.  

Ethan Famodu is a 20 year old junior in the Studio Production program, and he’s been playing guitar since he was 11. His influences include artists from Bob Dylan to Green Day and Motown. In addition to solo endeavors he also performs in APLO, Tuesday Morning and collaborates with everyone under the sun.

Wendi and Ethan will be performing with Brandon Vassal and Aiden Froman. Brandon Vassallo is a junior in the New Media program, and has been playing drums since a very young age. Outside of his assignments and responsibilities, he offers his talents to the many musical acts on campus such as APLO (pronounced Apollo), Old Country Landscaping, ITTO, and Anonymous.  Aiden Froman is a Sophomore in the Jazz Studies program. He’s been playing the electric bass for the majority of his life, and has always seemed to be immersed in music in some way with his grandfather being a jazz guitar player. Aiden performs in the group Old Country Landscaping as well and is always looking for opportunities to play music with people.

is our next performer at the Music and Technology Festival Showcase. Eli Shane is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose seamless blend of chamber pop, folk and indie will have melodies stuck in your head for days. Shane’s unique writing style and bright vocals shine through inspiration from the likes of Laura Marling and Fiona Apple. His self-produced debut album, therein lies the garden, was released in March, and features Eli’s harp, guitar, and piano playing.

Our next performer at the on 12/1 is - Chloë Medina is a singer, songwriter, and guitar player whose songs come from a place of honesty and sincerity that speak of her life experiences. Finalizing her studies as a studio composition major, Chloë is setting the groundwork to establish herself and make her mark as a professional musician in the music industry.

Our next student performer at the Music and Technology Showcase on 12/1 is - Born in Sleepy Hollow, NY, Harrison Gacer has been releasing music since 2019. His first album, titled “Flower Shop”, was released last Sept. Harrison’s DIY indie sound can be seen throughout his music. Harrison will be performing two recent releases, Magnolia St. and Our Chelsea Flower Shop. Magnolia St. is about visiting your family’s hometown. The song cherishes the community of friends and family and the hope of returning home. “Our Chelsea Flower Shop” is a hopeless romantic tune about heartbreak. It talks about the “what ifs” at the end of the relationship.

We’ll be profiling each of the performers of our Music and Technology Showcase on 12/1, starting with - Andrxw is a 21 year old artist, producer, and engineer hailing from the Bronx, New York. Born from a Puerto Rican family he grabs influence from many of the genres that his mother & father used to listen to. He has recently released his first album independently and the entire rollout up until the album release was all done entirely by him and his friend Spectrxm. He did two listening experiences in Suny Purchase where he’s currently enrolled for Studio Production in their Conservatory of Music. He’s a mixing engineer as well and Him & Sean Leon also scored a Porsche commercial for Arthur Kar with music from Daniel Caesar in September, 2021. Andrxw will be joined by close collaborator and friend Edward Donahue who is also a senior in the Studio Production program and is providing guitar as well as production. He’ll also be accompanied by Olive Fretts Howard who is a senior in the Viola Performance major in the Conservatory of Music.
