The Grove Theatre

Saw the show last night. It was fabulous! It's one of the best high school plays I've ever seen. Don't miss it.
I work for a non-profit agency (CIEE) who matches exchange students with host families. We are currently looking for families in the NoVa area. Host families provide three meals a day, a bed, transportation, and love and support. Students have their own spending money and health insurance. We have students from around the world whose dream is to come to the US. Therese from Norway is in need of a host family for the 2019/20 school year. "My name is Therese. I am a sixteen years old girl from one of the world’s most northern cities. I was born and raised in a small town with 10 000 citizens.. I would consider myself as an outgoing girl. I chose the United States because I find it to be a very interesting country. The U.S has a lot to offer and I am so excited you cannot even imagine. Throughout my childhood, I have tried out many different sports. Swimming, horse riding, gymnastics, skiing and soccer. My family has influenced me and made me attract towards music. My biggest influences is my father and my cousin , she can sing, play piano and guitar. When we celebrate Christmas, for example we often perform songs for the rest of the family." Hosts provide a bed, 3 meals a day, and your kindness and support. Message me for more info on hosting Therese. Olof from Sweden needs a host family for the 2019/20 school year. “Dear future host family, My most characteristic personal traits are that I am ambitious, social and active. I love spending time with family and friends and therefore the social relationships are very important to me. Since I value studying and school very high I take my education seriously and I often work late nights with home work and assignments for school. In the future my biggest goal is to go to Medical school and become a doctor. Besides this, my favorite hobbies is to train (either by going to the gym, jogging or playing soccer for the soccer team I am captain for) reading and doing fun activities with both my family and my friends. Examples of these kind of activities are going to the cinema, playing cards, hiking or going to the beach. As I mentioned earlier, family plays a huge part in my life and especially my two sisters mean a lot to me. Therefore I hope that I will become close to you guys and that you will be like a real family to me. I also enjoy cooking and I hope that I can contribute at your house by cooking traditional Swedish food such as swedish meatballs.” Hosts provide a bed, 3 meals a day, and your kindness and support. Message me for more info on hosting Olof.

Governor Northam Announces New Statewide Measures to Contain COVID-19

A new ordinance was released yesterday effective tomorrow. We will still continue with production and filming but we may need to limit who is called on certain days. Keep your eyes peeled for a slightly amended filming calendar. I will try to give an update after this week about the Drive In Premier. I will hold another parent meeting Thursday December 3rd at 7 pm once again for more information about the drive in and spring. Thank you as always for your support! Also, to my knowledge, the two other Woodgrove cases do not effect us. Governor Ralph Northam, 73rd Governor of Virginia

Images and moments from our first day of filming footage! Things are taking longer than expected but everyone was a trooper yesterday! Rehearsal Thursday and Saturday 10 am - 1 pm this week. Come in hair and makeup done. It took a while to get started since many students came without hair and makeup. Try to help your children actors at home so we can simply do touch ups at school. More information coming about the drive in movie premier soon 🎬🎤🎥

Here is the recorded meeting. I had some technical and sound issues. Email me with any questions.

Some of our actors styling some costumes. We are still finalizing so if you are “leasing” and your child is not called to film Next Thursday, just have them stop by so I can send home the costume. Please complete this leasing agreement before pick up too: Students can also leave things at school if that is easier. We will steam costumes before each use and separate them with plastic clothing bags or something similar.

REMINDER: Today, informational check in meeting for all. Happy almost Halloween!
