Hi, I'm Sarah Schmidtler!
I need a ride back to PHC's campus from Dullas International Airport. My flight arrives today at 4pm.
Do you have a women's BB game on FB live tonight?
Dr. Voddie Baucham at PHC! Another reason why we love this school. Try to watch this webcast, you will not be disappointed!
My Deli & Café is hiring for two (2) part time positions covering lunch and dinner shifts. Good pay + benefits. Stop by in person or contact restaurant directly at 540.751.2077. Excellent opportunity for college students and walking distance from campus.
Please remember that today (Tuesday) by 5pm is the last time you can request an absentee ballot in some states.

If you are a college student living away from home or have a family member living in a retirement facility-please check to make sure you get an absentee ballot if you can't vote in person.
Really blown away by this courageous story found by PHC alum Matthew Exline - we all need stories like this right now! If you ever think being a history major is outdated, you're wrong... our country needs great historians now more than ever!
Hi I have a friend who is looking for a college student to watch the kids over the summer, if anyone is interested please pm me and I hope this post is allowed.
Will tonight's basketball game vs. ABC be streamed?
First home games for Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams vs. Great Basin Christian at 2pm today!
Hello, friends!
I am hiring people to canvass (door knock) for the upcoming election. The nonprofit I work for, American Majority Action, is targeting several races around the Commonwealth, a few races right here. As a nonpartisan nonprofit, we don't work directly with campaigns, but target important state races to help elect conservative candidates. Volunteers would access the walk app on their smartphone to follow the walk list as well as access the short surveys (5 questions) they use at the doors.
Races we are targeting in Loudoun are Geary Higgins for State Senate (Dick Black's old seat) and Randy Minchew for Delegate. We are targeting three races in PWC, 2 in Richmond, and 1 in Virginia Beach. We are supporting those candidates who are outspoken about defending all life, from conception to natural death. These candidates face opponents who supported or co-sponsored Kathy Tran's pro-infanticide bill last session.
Positions are 1099 and pay $15 per hour and hours are flexible. They ideally would include at least some hours on Saturdays, as that's the best day to reach voters. Workers can start as early as this Saturday, so long as I have received necessary paperwork so they can be paid.

**These positions are for adults or older teens (ideally, at least 17). So far we have two current homeschoolers signed up (as well as two who have graduated). I'd love to get other home schoolers involved and give them the opportunity to add this to their resume. *You must be pro-life to apply for these positions.
All positions will last through Election Day, November 5. Feel free to contact me via Messenger or text on 7036187799 with any questions. Thanks for considering! :)
Hi! Ballenger Farm (right next door) is looking for some strong folks to help move some big old rocks. It's $15/hour. Please message me if you're interested!
“It’s FRIDAY! But Sunday’s coming!!” ✝️
Thinking of Dr. G especially today with a smile in my heart. So thankful for the legacy he left on the PHC family! 💕

For Christ and For Liberty The nation’s top-tier colleges and universities are no longer producing godly leaders capable of preserving American liberty.

Patrick Henry College challenges the unacceptable status quo in higher education by combining the academic strength and commitment to biblical principles that elite institutions have lost. PHC graduates think clearly, communicate persuasively, and are best equipped to serve Christ faithfully. PHC exists for Christ and for liberty.

Reality Is Not Chopped Up Into Little Pieces

“I began to pray specifically for ‘a culture of discipleship, disciple making, and outreach’ at PHC,” said Dr. Steve Hake, Professor of Literature. “I am seeing God answer that prayer in some pretty dramatic ways.”

Katie Gorectke remembers looking out of her window on the flight back to Washington, D.C. this past summer and seeing the outline of the city far below. She could make out the Lincoln Memorial, The Capitol, and the Washington Monument all stretched out below her in miniaturized detail.

“I’m home,” Katie remembers thinking.

Three years ago, Katie would never have called Washington, D.C.—or PHC—home. She didn’t have an interest in lawyers or government. She didn’t appreciate their arguments and their seemingly know-it-all attitudes. But something changed when, at an NCFCA tournament, she met Stephen Pierce, the Director of Student Recruitment at PHC. She began to realize that although she had wanted to go into medicine, God might have other plans.

“The Lord softened my heart enough that I realized what I was actually passionate about. I had a concern in my heart for where our country is going,” Katie said.

Not long later, Katie came to study at PHC. In less than two weeks of her freshman year, she declared her major—American Politics and Policy—and started her journey toward a career in either law or policy.

Thanks for making PHC your college choice, Katie! May God bless you as you follow Him boldly!

Have liberal arts colleges lost their soul? And if so, does it matter?

When the size of core curriculum programs in American liberal arts colleges shrink, so does the number of individuals who are qualified to lead with confidence, competence, and integrity. Read “Have Liberal Arts Colleges Lost Their Soul?” (parts 1 and 2).

Jonathan Arens remembers 2016 as a turning point for the way he thought about United States politics. As Republican candidates battled out a fiercely contested Republican nomination, Jonathan recalls how the struggle for the presidency went from being something that merely piqued his interest to suddenly becoming a spark of inspiration.

He found a career path that he wanted to pursue: work in politics and campaigns!

So, being a conservative Christian with an eye for working in Washington, D.C., Jonathan came to Patrick Henry College to study American Politics and Policy. In the short run, his dream job might look like working on campaigns or campaign management. Later on, Jonathan would like to work in lobbying or perhaps in public relations.

For now, he’s focused on getting internships and excelling at Political Science Research Methods, a class he will have to take in his sophomore year.

We love your focus and determination, Jonathan! We wish you the best in this coming year. Thanks so much for choosing to be a part of the PHC family. We are glad to have you.

After a busy but exciting day of moving belongings to a new country and into a dormitory, Frank Dalton lay on his bed, thinking about the incredible new journey he was about to begin. He was starting his Patrick Henry College journey. And this was really happening!

“This is not my house. This is not my bedroom. I’m waking up in a completely different situation,” Frank remembers thinking.

Originally from Guatemala, Frank is a rising junior by credits. He’s pursuing a degree in Economics & Business Analytics (EBA). He hopes to one day use his education to go into consulting. He likes tackling challenges and finding solutions to complex questions. Consulting, says Frank, brings a certain appeal because it’s such a multifaceted industry with ever-changing questions that need answers.

In addition to consulting, however, Frank knows he would also someday like to do something in ministry or service, and his EBA degree will prepare him for those opportunities as well.

This fall will be the beginning of Frank’s second year on campus. He’s excited to meet new freshmen, play soccer for a second season, and play a larger role in leadership and campus life.

We’re glad to have you here, Frank! Thanks for being a part of the PHC family!

Layna Caldwell first became interested in working in the Intelligence Community (IC) when she was seven years old. Her grandfather had worked undercover for a government agency and his stories of collapsing tunnels, espionage, and secrets filled Layna’s young imagination. For Layna—now a student at Patrick Henry College—the IC is still a prospect filled with intrigue, but it’s also a career path that she believes can have a tangible impact on the world.

For Layna, that means fighting human trafficking.

In high school, Layna participated in “Out of Darkness,” a Christian organization dedicated to the frontline work of getting people out of trafficking situations. As a Freshman, Layna participated in PHC’s International Justice Mission chapter on campus, working to raise awareness of global rights for abused women and children. Layna hopes to continue these efforts in her sophomore year by working with the south com security bulletin special project for the Strategic Intelligence in National Security program at PHC.

As she’s preparing to return to college in the fall, she’s excited about continuing her education and personal development both in and outside of the classroom.

Glad to have you here, Layna! Thanks for being such an active part of the culture-shaping community at PHC!

For Christ and for Liberty

Patrick Henry College is for those who want more than the status quo—to dig deeper, aim higher, and dare greater.

In under two decades, Patrick Henry College (PHC) has established an exceptional reputation as a college that nurtures high-caliber talent through an elite Christian education. PHC teaches students more than just facts. Students learn to think clearly, speak articulately, and write persuasively. The classical approach, combined with distinctive apprenticeships and a biblical worldview, enables our students to serve and lead at the highest levels.

From its founding, Patrick Henry College has never accepted government funding. This allows the college to preserve academic freedom and philosophical integrity. With this freedom, PHC is able to operate and make decisions based on merit and faith without agenda or influence of social engineering.

With this freedom, PHC seeks to educate students in God's truth throughout the entire curriculum. Christian faith and genuine learning cannot be separated; neither is our Christian faith a mere addendum to the liberal learning process. Instead, our Christian faith precedes and informs all that we at Patrick Henry College study, teach, and learn.
