✈️ Pages from My Travel Notebook

📍 Postcard From: Key West, Florida

This one feels like a deep breath…
🌊 Turquoise water
🚲 Morning bike rides before the crowds
🌅 Sunsets that make everyone pause

Why: to slow down and just enjoy being together
Feels Like: laid-back + a little playful
Don’t Forget: wander… not everything needs a plan

There’s something about Key West that invites you to let go of the schedule and just be.

💌 If you were here… would you start your day with a quiet coffee or head straight out to explore?

✈️ Introducing something new…
Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself going back to something simple…
a notebook, a memory, a place I’m dreaming about.

So I’m starting a new weekly series:
💛 Pages from My Travel Notebook

Each week, I’ll share a destination that’s been on my heart—sometimes a place we’ve been, sometimes a place I’m dreaming about… always rooted in the why behind the trip.

No pressure to book.
No perfect plan.
Just a little space to dream. ✨

📍 Postcard From: Everglades National Park
This one is all about slowing down…
🌿 Quiet mornings
☀️ Warm sunshine
🐊 Wildlife around every corner

Why: to unplug and find the warm weather
Feels Like: calm + connection
Don’t Forget: just be together

I’d love to know…
💌 If you could add a page to this notebook, where would it take you?

💬 “You need to talk to Laura.”

There is no greater compliment than friends telling friends about the experience they’ve had working with me, and lately, that ripple effect has been incredible. Over the past 2 months alone, I’ve had the joy of helping FIVE wonderful families dream about and design meaningful adventures to Italy, Amsterdam, Croatia, a family snowboarding trip and out West… and their kind words (swipe through!) truly mean the world. ✨

Every testimonial you see started with a simple conversation...families wanting less overwhelm, more connection, and a vacation that reflects who they are right now. That’s the heart behind Seldom A Dull Moment and my Dream • Design • Depart approach.

If someone you know has said, “We really need to plan a trip…” feel free to tag them here or pass my name along. Personal referrals are how this little dream keeps growing, and I’m so grateful for this community. 💛

🌍 Where are YOU dreaming about next? Drop it below or send me a message. I’d love to help you turn that idea into a plan.

💫🌎Have you ever come home from a family vacation more exhausted than when you left?✈️🛳️

✈️You spent the money.
✈️You made the plans.
✈️You pictured connection and relaxation.

And instead?
Meltdowns, slammed doors, screen-time battles, and wondered “Why do we even do this?”

💫You are not failing at vacations.
You’re just missing one crucial step most families skip.

In this podcast episode with Dori Durbin, Author & Illustrator, I share why most vacations fall apart before anyone even packs a bag.
📣Here’s the big idea:
Vacations work better when everyone has ownership. Do this before you book anything. I explain how involving kids (yes, even teens) early actually reduces conflict later.

What you’ll learn in this episode:
🧳Why planning for your kids is different than planning with them
🧳How to prevent vacation meltdowns with one simple pre-trip conversation
🧳What to do when everyone wants a different kind of vacation
🧳How to travel on a budget without sacrificing safety or joy
