Today was our first day of "Not So Back to School" so we celebrated the occasion by taking a field trip to the Potomac River! (it's just around the corner from our house) The kids had a blast taking in the water, rocks and aquatic life. They climbed a cliff, dug for clams, found shrimp and took in the beauty of this amazing place we are lucky enough to call home.

We read "The Marshmallow Incident" 📖 and then each kiddo made their own marshmallow shooter. There was a storm rolling in, so we hurried outside to have a race before the rain started coming down... Since, it was raining raindrops and not mallows! 😜 ☔ ⛈️ I may have even tried to throw in a little physics 🤫 ... Pulling back their balloon further created a bigger force, resulting in the marshmallows flying a longer distance at a faster speed!
