The book fair is coin free like last year. That means you can pay with coins, but every purchase will be rounded up to the nearest dollar- and every rounded up dollar goes straight into our share the fair fund to help provide books for students in need and new books for our library.

Joe Franco
1. How many years have you been in education, how many at Purcell, and what roles have you served in?
I am currently in my 10th year in education. This is my 5th year at Purcell Intermediate.
I’ve taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and most recently TEAMS Rotation. I’ve also served in the Intermediate AIR Dragon room. My current roles in the Purcell School District are Assistant Athletic Director, Bus #5 route driver, Head JH Baseball Coach, Head JH Softball Coach, and TEAMS Rotation.

2. What brings you the most joy or excitement about working in education?
My most recent joy has been getting to hear feedback from so many students, parents, fellow teachers, and administrators that students are truly excited to go to TEAMS because of the variety of activities, lessons, and different subjects.

3. What is your favorite place in the world and why?
My favorite place in the world is any field or court with my own children or JH Players. Athletics doesn’t just teach us lessons about sport but lessons in life

Gidget Greenlee
1. How many years have you been in education, how many at Purcell, and what roles have you served in?
I have been in education for 28 years, the last 8 years at Purcell. I have taught PreK, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

2. What brings you the most joy or excitement about working in education?
Hanging out and connecting with kids brings me happiness in education. Don't get me wrong, the aha and light bulb moments are wonderful, but having a connection with a kid and even their family is my happy place in school. I want them to know I have their back, and I'm always available if they need me.

3. What is your favorite place in the world and why?
My favorite place in the world is sitting in a church pew with my children and my mom. Those moments make me feel safe and peaceful and are incredibly important to me.

Meet our new library assistant, Alisha Harp! Alisha has called Purcell home for most of her life and is a proud Purcell alum. She is married to Zach Harp, and they have two children: Hayden, a recent OU graduate, and Hadleigh, an OCU track student-athlete.
Alisha shares that she is so excited to join the Purcell Intermediate staff and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that has always been home. Welcome to the team, Alisha!

🧹❤️ Happy Custodian Appreciation Day! ❤️🧹

We truly have the BEST custodians at Purcell Intermediate! Our custodial team works so hard every single day to keep our school clean, safe, welcoming, and shining bright! ✨

But what makes them even more special is the love they have for our students—and the love our students have for them! 🥰🐉 They are such an important part of our Purcell Intermediate family, and we are so grateful for everything they do behind the scenes and throughout our school each day.

✨Look at our third graders challenging their word skills! ✨

In Ms. Greenlee's class, her students played "Quiz, Quiz, Trade" with their vocabulary words. Each student has a card with a word and its definition. They partner up, quiz each other, trade cards, and quiz another partner. Vocabulary pros! 🗣️👏

In Miss Windham's class, her students practiced their spelling words with "Word Relay." She provided her students with one of their spelling words and each team had one goal: spell the word the fastest. Each student could only write one letter on the board before passing to their teammate across the field. Athletic spellers! 🏃🏃‍♀️
