Families, businesses and community partners are invited to help sponsor the event at any level. Every contribution helps us put together a fun Friday pick-me-up for our Eagle staff!

❤️💙 What a way to kick off a new school year at PGMS! 🦅

It was a busy couple of days for PTO, and we loved every minute of welcoming our staff, students and families back!

We started by celebrating our amazing teachers and staff with a Back-to-School Cookout, along with a little extra fun! Staff searched the school for our Principal Superhero 🦸‍♀️ during our Find Our Fearless Leader Scavenger Hunt, with each lucky finder earning an entry to win a Back to School Supply Cake filled with classroom essentials to help get the year started.

Then it was on to Open House! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the PTO table, contributed to our Tissue Tower Challenge, entered our Taco Tuesday basket giveaway, and, most importantly…to all of the new and returning families who signed up to be part of PTO this year. We are so excited to have you with us! ❤️

A very special thank you to Danielle Palmieri Viele of Winn-Dixie of Punta Gorda for going above and beyond to support our Back-to-School Staff Cookout! Not only did they generously donate food for the event, but Danielle and assistant manager Maria came out and worked right alongside us. Their generosity and their time made a huge difference, and we are incredibly grateful to have community partners who don’t just support our school, but show up for it.

🎨 A special shout-out to one of our former PGMS Eagles who came back to Chalk the Walk for Open House! She created some incredible artwork at our entrance to welcome students and families!

We have lots planned for the year ahead, and this was just the beginning. Here’s to an amazing year, Eagles! ❤️💙🦅

☀️🎉 SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER! 🎉☀️

What a fantastic way to wrap up the school year!

Our Tattoo a Teacher fundraiser was a success, and on the last day of school our participating teachers and staff officially became walking masterpieces for all of PGMS to see.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our volunteers, including our student volunteers from Charlotte High School and Florida Southwestern State College, staff, families, and supporters who helped make our end-of-year celebrations a success. From our staff cookout complete with sno cones to watching our teachers walk around with their fresh ink, it was a fun-filled day and a great way to celebrate an amazing school year.

Every successful cookout needs a grill master, and ours was Storm Litzler. From the first burger to the last hot dog, he kept the food coming and helped make the day special for our staff. Thank you, Storm!

Congratulations to our Tattoo a Teacher winner: Ms. Halsey! 🥇🏆

Ms. Burns was a close second place!

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, and helped make these events possible. Your support helps PGMS PTO continue providing fun experiences and appreciation events for our students and staff.

🔜 PGMS Fam it’s almost time!

Our Tattoo a Teacher fundraiser is in full swing, and on the last day of school, participating teachers & staff will officially become WALKING MASTERPIECES.

Students can purchase temporary tattoos for participating staff. Don’t forget, the teacher/staff member with the MOST tattoos wins a prize!

Honestly… what better way to celebrate surviving a full year of middle school than sending your favorite teacher into summer covered in questionable temporary ink?

Order forms + cash are due by Thursday, May 28!

➡️ Students can turn in their order forms to any teachers.

↪️ Teachers: PTO will be out and about this week collecting order forms!

Our Tattoo a Teacher fundraiser is officially on! Help turn participating PGMS teachers & staff into walking masterpieces on the last day of school while supporting PGMS PTO! Order forms will be sent home with students. Completed forms + cash should be returned to homeroom teachers by Thursday, May 28.

And don’t forget…the teacher/staff member with the MOST tattoos wins a prize!

Let’s send these teachers into summer in style…… with plenty of fresh ink! 😎

It is officially official! Congratulations to Mrs. Sanford on being named Principal of Punta Gorda Middle School. ♥️

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Amanda Sanford on officially being named principal of Punta Gorda Middle School! 🎉

Mrs. Sanford has been serving in an interim leadership role, where she has provided steady direction and continued to advance the school’s focus on academic growth, strong instruction, and support for students and staff. That leadership has helped sustain momentum across campus.

Families interested in learning more about PGMS will have opportunities to tour the campus throughout the summer.
