Laverne Cox is a trailblazing actress and activist whose feminism rooted in transgender rights, racial justice, and the dismantling of rigid gender binaries. She reminds us that we can’t address homophobia or transphobia without confronting patriarchy itself, pushing feminist spaces to be more inclusive and liberatory for all women. As the first openly transgender woman nominated for a Primetime Emmy in acting, the first trans person on the cover of TIME, and a producer amplifying trans stories, she continues to reshape representation and open doors for future generations. ✨

Join us on Friday, April 10th at 6:30 PM as we come together to walk in solidarity, uplift survivor voices, and stand united in the fight for a safer campus and community. The evening will include a march, as well as speakers, performances, and more all centered on awareness, healing, and empowerment. Whether you come to listen, support, or march, you are welcome here. Your presence helps create change in the WSU/Pullman community!

Take Back the Night is a global movement
dedicated to ending sexual violence in all forms and supporting survivors. It began as a way for individuals, especially women and marginalized communities, to reclaim their right to feel safe in public spaces at night and beyond. Today, it continues as a powerful reminder that no one should have to live in fear.

This event is not just a march, it is a space for awareness, healing, and solidarity. It brings together survivors, allies, and community members to speak out against sexual assault, domestic violence, and harassment while honoring the strength and resilience of those impacted. It is also about challenging the silence and stigma that too often surround these experiences.

We march to remember. We march to support. We march to take back the night.

What are zines? 📝
Zines are short for fanzines or magazines; they are usually self-published and combine original text and images. They are DIY-focused (do-it-yourself), often featuring collages and personal, artistic, or political content. Zines are generally not for-profit and are created to foster community or share niche, independent ideas outside of mainstream media
