Way to go Nicole on landing this prestigious internship!

Nicole Edwards (psychology) and Tatum Scacco (sociology) are two of a cohort of 92 college students from across the nation gaining valuable experience through a 10-week summer internship with Youth Villages, a national nonprofit that helps young adults with behavioral and emotional challenges and their families live successfully.

Tatum, who plans to pursue a career in social work, shared, “I knew I wanted to find an internship that would provide hands-on experience working with youth in a residential treatment setting. Being able to work closely with clinical teams and having the opportunity to support youth through challenging moments has helped me build communication, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills.”

Nicole is working on the Memphis residential campus, while Tatum is helping in a Nashville group home. Read more: https://cas.wsu.edu/2025/07/21/wsu-students-selected-for-youth-villages-summer-internship-program/ 🐾
