Building Blocks Child Care Center, Inc. More than childcare. From infancy through elementary school, children learn, grow, and build priceless friendships. Our mission has not changed.

Family-owned and serving the Palouse since 1998. ๐Ÿ’› Building Blocks was founded by a young mother of two young children. Embracing the demand of child care needs, she wanted to provide a welcoming, loving and nurturing place for the children of Pullman and the surrounding towns; it was also important to provide early education in a way that was fun for children. Today, BBCCC, is still owner-operate

d by a mother of two young children. Early childhood is our passion! We are a licensed early learning facility, enrolling children 4 weeks up to 12 years. High quality care and education and giving parents a peace of mind, is our mission.

โค๏ธ Supporting Our Spokane Neighbors

Many of you have likely seen the news coverage of the devastating wildfires in the Spokane area. These fires have destroyed homes, displaced families, and left many wondering where to begin rebuilding.

For our family, this tragedy has hit especially close to home. My son, Jagger, and Toree's (Taylee's mom) son Carter, plays for Spokane Surf Soccer Club, and several of their teammates and coaches have been directly impacted. One teammate's family lost their home, another teammate's grandparents lost theirs, and several teammates and coaches have been forced to evacuate. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, the road to recovery will be long.

We've been in direct contact with some of these families and know there is an immediate need for everyday essentials, including:

โ€ข School supplies for the upcoming school year
โ€ข Toiletries and personal hygiene items
โ€ข New or gently used clothing for adults and children (all ages)
โ€ข Baby wipes
โ€ข Bottled water
โ€ข Non-perishable snacks and food items
โ€ข Other household essentials as needs continue to arise

If you would like to help, donations may be dropped off in Jackie's office any time before Thursday. Toree has an office in Spokane and has generously offered to transport the donations to Spokane on Thursday. Soccer practices are cancelled this week, but once soccer practices resume, our families carpool to Spokane three to four days each week, allowing us to continue delivering items as additional needs arise.

The Spokane community has a long road to recovery ahead. Thank you for considering how you might help. One of the things I love most about the Building Blocks family is how quickly we come together to support others in times of need. Whether it's a package of school supplies, a case of water, or a few toiletries, every donation will help a family begin taking the next step forward.

Thank you for helping us extend the kindness and compassion of our BBCCC community to our neighbors in Spokane.

Warm Regards,

Jackie

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beloved member of our Building Blocks family, Donna Reisinger. Shortly after her time at BBCCC, she moved to Alaska, where she continued to spread joy to others.

Donna brought kindness, compassion, and so much light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She made a lasting impact on the children, families, and coworkers whose lives she touched, and she will be deeply missed.

Our hearts are also with Donna's family during this unimaginable time. We ask that you keep her husband, son, along with all of Donna's loved ones, in your thoughts and prayers.

Please join us in celebrating Donna's life by sharing a favorite memory, a kind word, or simply keeping her family close in your hearts. We know the love and support of this community will mean so much in the days ahead.

Rest peacefully, Donna. Your kindness, your smile, and the love you shared with so many will never be forgotten. โค๏ธ

โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™ Community. Service. Belonging.

Earlier in July, our children proudly celebrated Independence Day with our friends at Bishop Place. Watching generations come together reminds us that some of childhood's greatest lessons aren't learned in a classroom. They're learned through kindness, connection, and community.

As we celebrated our nation's independence, we'd like to recognize and thank the military families who serve our country. Building Blocks is proud to support military families by accepting Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) fee assistance through Child Care Awareยฎ of America.

If you're an eligible military family looking for high-quality early learning in Pullman, we'd love to welcome you to our community.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Learn more about MCCYN at www.childcareaware.org or contact us to schedule a tour.

๐Ÿ‹ Goal accomplished! ๐Ÿ‹

Our School-Age campers set a goal to raise $250 for a field trip to Terracotta in Pullman...and they did it!

From making three flavors of freshly squeezed lemonade to serving customers and counting donations, they learned that teamwork, communication, perseverance, and hard work really do pay off.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported our young entrepreneurs. You helped turn a learning experience into an unforgettable adventure! ๐Ÿ’™

At BBCCC, we're growing more than minds...we're growing relationships. ๐Ÿ’™

When children build meaningful connections with family and older adults, they're developing empathy, communication skills, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of belonging. These relationships help shape confident, compassionate learners.

We're grateful for our partnership with Bishop Place and can't wait to make more memories together. We are also excited for our annual Teddy Bear Picnic with families! ๐Ÿงธโ˜€๏ธ

๐Ÿ’› Family-owned. Small Town. Priceless Community.

Some of the friendships that begin at Building Blocks don't end when children leave our classrooms.

They become classmates, teammates, prom dates, college roommates, and lifelong friends.

For 27 years, we've had the privilege of watching children grow up together in our community.

While children are learning letters, numbers, and important life skills, they're also building something just as valuable...relationships.

The memories and friendships are priceless.

That's the power of a small, connected community
