This giant hornworm was sharing our tomato plants! Here is a pic (that is a green tomato by his head, not a bump). The worm was about the size of my pointer finger. Horn worms turn into a Five Spotted Hawk Moth (see photo from internet).

Today I was excited to find a nice harvest when I went to water gardens. All produce picked this evening was donated to the Town Square Food Cupboard. I hope some families really enjoy it. It feels good to have our class give back to the community.

I went and checked on our gardens today! There are peas ready for picking and zucchini that will be ready next week! Everything else is growing nicely as well….corn, green beans, carrots, flowers, and tomatoes. 🍅🥒🌻

This afternoon we had Dogman Mania. We partner read Dogman Books, did coloring pages and word searches, and mazes, and watched the first part of the Dogman Movie.

We have been learning about halves and and related the fractions to patterns on quilts. Here is a “quilt” that we made following a pattern and our own ideas for quilt squares.
