A HUGE thank you to STRHS/Pulaski for their generous donation of a JBL PartyBox speaker to each of our schools!

These speakers will definitely be put to good use and utilized in so many different ways throughout our schools-from school events and celebrations to student activities, staff events, programs, and so much more!

First-grade classes at Minor Hill School were treated to a special visit from Deputy Matt King and his wonderful therapy dog, Amy! 🐾📚

Deputy King and Amy shared the book “What If Everybody Said That?”,with students, sparking meaningful conversations about kindness, respect, and the importance of choosing our words carefully.

Thank you, Deputy King and Amy, for taking the time to encourage a love of reading while sharing such an important message.

A Delicious Start to the New School Year!

Our students were welcomed back with a great first day of school on August 3, 2026, and our amazing Giles County School Nutrition Department made sure they had a nutritious and delicious meal to fuel a successful start to the year!

From fresh ingredients to balanced, student-friendly menu options, our School Nutrition team works hard every day to provide meals that help students learn, grow, and thrive. We are so grateful for the dedication of our cafeteria managers and staff across the district who arrived early, worked tirelessly, and served our students with smiles on the very first day.

Thank you to our entire School Nutrition team for everything you do to keep our students healthy, happy, and ready to learn. Here's to a fantastic school year filled with great meals and even greater memories!

Today, Giles County School Nutrition is proud to stand with our community in support of the Red Sand Project.

The red sand is a reminder that no child should ever “fall through the cracks.” As school nutrition professionals, we have the privilege of seeing our students every day, and we believe every child deserves to be seen, cared for, and protected.

We’re honored to join this effort and remain committed to doing what’s right—for every child, every day. ❤️

Today was a wonderful reminder of what makes Giles County such a special place to live and work—our incredible community partnerships!

Today, our Giles County School System Coaches and PE Teachers participated in their annual Professional Development Day, receiving hands-on training in CPR, Heat Exhaustion, Concussion Recognition, and Sports Injury Care. The knowledge and skills gained today will help keep our students safer both on and off the field.

A heartfelt thank you to First National Bank for graciously hosting us and to Southern Tennessee Regional Health System–Pulaski for providing an outstanding day of professional development, along with a delicious breakfast for everyone.

A very special thank you to Laura Lee Cox for all of your hard work behind the scenes to make this event possible. Your dedication and coordination are truly appreciated! We are also incredibly grateful to the outstanding presenters who generously shared their expertise and experience:

Behind every successful summer food box distribution is a team of dedicated people working tirelessly behind the scenes. From planning and organizing, to loading, and distributing, it takes countless hours and a whole lot of teamwork to make it all happen.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Giles County Nutrition Department and to every staff member and volunteer who gave their time this summer to ensure families in our community had access to nutritious food. Your hard work, servant hearts, and commitment to caring for others made this program a tremendous success.
Your efforts may not always be seen, but they are deeply appreciated. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many children and families across Giles County. ❤️
