City of Refuge Pulaski will hold it's 3rd annual Back to School Event for PC students grades pre k - 12th on Saturday, August 8th from 10:00-2:00. (249 Dora Hwy.) We will offer new and gently used clothing and shoes, hygiene products, free haircuts, food, ice cream, Maecyn's Famous Lemonade and fun things for children.

When families understand the process, better support can grow.

Our quarterly SPED Series is designed to help families understand special education processes, rights, and tools that help students in preparing them for further education, employment, and independent living. Join us as we dive into this quarter’s topics and build stronger partnerships for student success.

⭐ Developing leadership skills

Independent Living
A free online training for students with disabilities age 12-22 who live in Virginia!

Monday, April 20, 2026 | 6:00 - 7:00 pm EST (Eastern Standard Time)

Join us to discuss various independent living skills that will benefit you as you prepare for adulthood.

Topics include what vocational rehabilitation (VR) is and how they can help, soft skills for employment and reaching your greatest level of independence, and the importance of building self-advocacy skills for the future.

📆 Upcoming session: April 6, 2026 - April 27, 2026

The IEP (Individualized Education Plan) process can be difficult and stressful. Conflict may occur as a result of managing emotions while simultaneously following policy and procedures. IEP University was developed to help provide families and professionals with accurate and useful information around IEP development and meetings. You’ll gain practical tools, clear guidance, and confidence for IEP meetings!
