Congratulations to Max Mabrey on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for your decades of service and for helping prepare the next generation of EMTs here at Pueblo Community College. We’re proud to have you on our team!
Member Spotlight: Max Mabrey joined Pueblo Community College as a part-time EMT instructor in 2023 after 45 years in the field. During his career, he served in a variety of roles, including his time as a fire fighter paramedic for the Tri-Lakes Fire Protection District and an educator in hospital systems.
Max said he enjoys having the opportunity to help students begin their careers. The course he teaches prepares them for the national registry exam, which provides them with the certification needed to begin work as an EMT.
“After one class, they have a foot in the door. I just love being able to give that to them,” Max said.
Max received an award at the Colorado Community College System's Commitment to Excellence Awards on April 8. PERA is proud to support this event highlighting PERA members who are making a difference in their communities.
