Sexual health is an important part of overall well-being.
As a physician, I often remind my patients that a healthy s*xual relationship helps reduce stress, improve sleep, support hormonal balance, and strengthen emotional connection between partners.
For most healthy adults, having s*xual intimacy with your partner at least 1–2 times per week is a reasonable and beneficial guideline. It supports both physical health (circulation, hormones, immune function) and mental health (bonding, mood, confidence).
What matters most is quality, communication, and mutual comfort—not pressure or comparison. A healthy s*x life is not about performance, but about connection.
If desire, energy, or performance changes persist, it’s important to address them early and speak with a healthcare professional.
Your s*xual health is part of your everyday health.
